Loay Mamdouh has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at The Nile-Ritz Carlton

The Nile-Ritz Carlton in Cairo has appointed Loay Mamdouh as director of HR. In his new position, he will drive HR metrics, draft best practices and design effect human capital strategies.

Mamdouh steps into the hotel with 14 years of Marriott experience under his belt, as well as half a decade of luxury hotel experience. However, it has been some time since he found himself in Egypt, first working as a training coordinator for American University in Cairo back in 2002.

By 2005 he had joined Marriott, stepping in as a training manager before being made multi-property HR manager in Bahrain. This was followed by a long stint in Dubai, first as the multi-property director of HR for three hotels in the emirate. He later worked at two of the group's leading Dubai hotels: JW Marriott Dubai and the W Dubai, The Palm.
