Isabel Mercado has been appointed as Director of Finance at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas
The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, The U.S. Virgin Island's premier luxury resort, has named Isabel Mercado as its new Director of Finance. With more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry and working with the Marriott brand, Mercado will oversee the property's long-term financial health and growth.
Mercado joins The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas from Marriott International's Caribbean and Latin America Regional Office in in Plantation, Fla., where she served as Regional Senior Manager of Finance - Shared Services & Controller. Previously, she was Senior Assistant Director of Finance at San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter on the River Walk. Mercado holds a master's in accounting and finance from the Metropolitan University in Puerto Rico, where she was born and raised.
