Alexandria, VA - It is with incredible sadness that GBTA have to inform you that, Nigel Wardropper, Founder and Managing Director of PASA (Procurement and Supply Australasia) and Managing Director of btTB, GBTA Australia, sadly passed away at the weekend while walking his dogs on the beach with his wife Lesley.

Nigel had worked in the industry for 20+ years, he was highly regarded by all those who met him and worked tirelessly to make btTB GBTA Australia, the success it is today. He will be missed terribly by friends and colleagues alike, many of whom worked with him for many years.

"Nigel leaves behind a thriving organisation and procurement industry in Australasia, he was pivotal in raising the profile of procurement and travel category professionals, delivering thought leadership and innovative events with opportunities to network, learn and engage. It seems only fitting that GBTA Australia will go ahead on the November 5 and is testament to his organisational and leadership skills", said Bhart Sarin, President GBTA.

Our thoughts go out to Nigel's family; wife Lesley, children Lachie and Yoni, and friends.
