Mark Timbrell has been appointed as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Amman

Mark Timbrell has been recently appointed as General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Amman, located in the bustling area of Shmeisani, in the Jordanian capital Amman. Mark joins Kempinski Hotel Amman from his most recent role as General Manager with Oryx Rotana Doha and returns to Jordan after 11 years, during which he held positions as General Manager for Rotana in Beirut, Abu Dhabi and Doha. Previous stations in his career include various positions in sales and marketing such as Area Director of Sales & Marketing for IHG hotels in Jordan and Palestine and in operations such as Resident Manager of InterContinental Jordan.

Marc Guenther has been appointed as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea

The new general manager of Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea, Jordan, has been recently appointed: Marc Guenther, a German national, is now at the helm of the renowned hotel at the lowest point on Earth. Joining the luxury hotel after his most recent assignment as General Manager at The Regency Hotel Kuwait, the seasoned hotelier holds more than 25 years of experience acquired in various luxury hotels around the world. Not new to Kempinski, Marc has managed several Kempinski hotels in different countries, such as Kempinski Hotel Aqaba Red Sea, in Jordan, and Kempinski Hotel Indonesia Jakarta, in addition to other hotel brands, including Hilton.

Thomas Krooswijk has been appointed as General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Amman

Four Seasons Hotel Amman announces the appointment of Thomas Krooswijk as Hotel Manager, where he will take on the role of overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations at the property in Amman. Prior to joining the team in Amman, Thomas was the Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto since April 2015. However, his career with Four Seasons started back in 2001 in New York, and then he joined the team in Dublin for another three years. He left the company to experience other opportunities in the hospitality industry but rejoined the team back in 2012 at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel as Director of Food and Beverage and was subsequently promoted to Hotel Manager and transferred to Toronto in the spring of 2015. Thomas is a worldly man. He was born in France and raised in Africa and the Middle East. To put things into perspective, Amman will be his 23rd city move; in addition to English, he is also fluent in French and can manage some German and Dutch.

Iva Trifonov has been appointed as General Manager at Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel

Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel has welcomed Iva Trifonov as the property’s new General Manager and the Area Manager of Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Jordan. Mrs. Trifonov’s appointment coincided the International Women’s Day, to become by that the first female General Manager in the Jordanian Five Stars hotel sector. This appointment confirms Sheraton Amman Al Nabil’s believes in asserting the role of women working in the hospitality industry. It also emphasizes on the eligibility of women to be in leadership positions and paves the way for other talented women to take lead in the future.
