Newest Joie de Vivre Hotel: Revival at Mount Vernon Place to Open in Baltimore

Two Roads Hospitality has announced it will launch its latest Joie de Vivre property, Revival at Mount Vernon Place, in early 2018. Located within Baltimore"s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, the 14-story hotel will be housed within a circa-1929 building, refreshed by locally based firm Schamu Machowksi + Patterson Architects and Philadelphia firm SLDesign.

Jon Chocklett has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Sagamore Pendry Baltimore

Chocklett joins the Pendry team with over 18 years of experience within luxury hotel sales and marketing. Most recently, Chocklett held the position of director of marketing at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, where he led a team of 26 for the 395 room hotel. Prior to that role, Chocklett spent ten years in various luxury hotels in Washington D.C. working with the Four Seasons Washington as director of sales for four years, followed by a further four years as the director of sales and marketing at the Mandarin Oriental until moving on to be the vice president of sales and business development at The Watergate Washington D.C.

David Hoffman has been appointed as General Manager at Sagamore Pendry Baltimore

With over 20 years of experience within luxury hotel management and operations, Hoffman has been a part of the Montage Hotels & Resorts team for over 13 years. Most recently, Hoffman held the position of Resort Manager at Montage Kapalua Bay, where he opened the resort and led the property to a Forbes Five Star rating. Erin Chamberlin has been appointed as General Manager at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore

A 12-year veteran of Caesars Entertainment Corp. was named Monday as the new general manager of Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, which says it has regained momentum after struggling to overcome fallout from the city's April riots.Erin Chamberlin, 40, comes to Baltimore from Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort in Las Vegas, a 2,500-room Caesars hotel and casino where she was vice president and general manager. Horseshoe, where she will start in mid-December, is 41 percent owned by Caesars Growth Partners. Rock Gaming owns 29 percent and other investors own the balance.

Greg Brown has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Baltimore

A veteran Hilton Worldwide team member, Brown arrives in Baltimore after five years as general manager of Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Capital Hilton, he served since 2005 as general manager of the 390-room Hilton Boston Bay Back. Brown has also held the roles of general manager of Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Hilton San Francisco Airport, Flamingo Casino Kansas City and resident manager of Hilton Atlanta and Towers. In addition, he assumed a position in corporate management with the Hilton Worldwide as director of front office systems, where he led a team in developing new front office systems for multiple properties. Brown started his career with Hilton in 1979 as director of guest services at Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. A native of Virginia, Brown attended the United States Naval Academy and the University of Maryland. He served as a midshipman for the United States Navy from 1975 to 1978. Brown has three grown children Greg, Kathryn and Jordan.

Andrew Gould has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace

Originally from Buffalo, New York, Chef Drew has been with Marriott since 1999, most recently as Executive Chef of the Gaithersburg Marriott. A graduate of Johnson and Wales University with a degree in Culinary Arts, Chef Drew originally joined the Williamsburg Marriott as Assistant Sous Chef and Specialty Restaurant Chef and honed his skills enough to move on after just four years to become the Restaurant Manager and Sous Chef at the Spartanburg Marriott. He credits his love of food to both his grandmother and mother who made warm, hearty meals for the family and inspired him to turn this passion into a career.

Tim Mullen has been appointed as Food & Beverage Director at The Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace

Executive Chef Tim Mullen has rejoined the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel as Food & Beverage Director. Chef Mullen, who was Executive Chef of the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel from 1995 through 2004, left to become Executive Chef of the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, a sister property in the Marriott Hotels & Resorts family.

Robert J. Norton has been named President & General Manager at Maryland Live! Casino

Mr. Norton comes to Maryland Live! Casino from the MTR Gaming Group, Inc., which owns and operates casino and racetrack facilities in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Prior to joining MTR, Mr. Norton spent 12 years in executive positions with Isle of Capri Casinos, instilling the brand with his dynamic leadership and guiding the company's profitability and patron satisfaction. MTR and Isle of Capri Casinos have combined revenues of approximately $1.5 billion. Mr. Norton is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration. He lives in Severna Park, Anne Arundel County, Maryland with his wife and four children.

David Marion has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys

The Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys recently hired David Marion for the role of Executive Chef in its casually sophisticated restaurant, Crossroads. Chef David Marion received his Culinary Arts Associate Degree from Johnston and Wales Culinary Institute and brings over 10 years of culinary expertise to Crossroads. He has worked in all aspects of food preparation including garde manger, banquet events, café delicatessen, specialty restaurants, and in-room dining. He was most recently manager and sous chef for the restaurants of the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor. David is skilled in analyzing, critiquing, and implementing a fresh culinary style that is founded in traditional, structured techniques. He is also passionate about utilizing products that are gathered from as many local sources as possible which is a sentiment in parallel with the new farm-to-table menu at Crossroads. David believes in establishing working relationships with local businesses to create continuity among food sources and menu items and feels he has a responsibility to promote sustainable agriculture particularly with increasing challenges to environmental sustainability.
