Adrian Brown has been appointed as General Manager at Chatrium Suites Bangkok, A Dusit Thani Hotels Partner and Chatrium Residence Bangkok Riverside

An Australian national, Mr. Brown has almost 30 years experience in the hotel industry, including well-known hotel brands such as Hyatt Hotels in Australia and England, JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur, New World Renaissance hotels Kuala Lumpur, Renaissance international Western Australia, Sydney Renaissance Hotel, New South Wales. Prior to joining the Chatrium Suites Bangkok, he was General Manager of the Eastern and Oriental Hotel and Lone Pine hotel in Penang, and most recently as pre-opening General Manager of the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort, Pattaya.

With his longstanding international experience, Christian aims to enhance all operations at Bangkok’s only true riverside resort.

Danny Lingham has been appointed as General Manager at Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok

Danny began his hospitality career in 1985, and has worked in a number of senior positions with leading hotel brands in Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and China including Westin, Accor and Shangri-La. His last appointment was with President Park Executive Serviced Apartments in Bangkok, Thailand where he managed a mixed-use complex that blends condominium, extended-stay and retail components into one holistic entity. Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok which will open late October 2009. Following the success of Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Singapore, launched last year, Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok is the first extended-stay property for the Pan Pacific Hotels Group outside of Singapore. Danny, in his new appointment, will oversee operations at the 148-suite property.

Jan Goessing has been appointed as General Manager at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced that Kurt Wachtveitl will retire after 41 years as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok effective 31 May 2009. He will be succeeded by Jan Goessing, a long term hotel industry veteran who has spent the past 14 years with Mandarin Oriental in senior management positions throughout Asia and The Americas, including the Group’s flagship hotel in Hong Kong. From 1998 to 2006, Mr Goessing was General Manager of the Group’s former property in Hawaii, Kahala Mandarin Oriental, during which time it became well established as one of the best urban resorts in the region, winning many important international accolades and awards. Since early 2006, he has been General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC and has been instrumental in positioning the property as one of the city’s most luxurious hotels. During his tenure the hotel has been presented with numerous awards, including “Best Hotel in the World” from Institutional Investor in 2007 and “Top Hotels in the USA” in the 2008 Zagat survey.
