Dave Nostrand has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa

Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa, located in South Pennsylvania's scenic Cumberland Valley, is pleased to announce that Dave Nostrand has been appointed the new director of sales and marketing for the property. In this role, Nostrand will oversee the direction of the sales team, drive revenue streams for the resort, contribute to the group and convention sales strategy and provide executive leadership.

Mirko R. Loeffler has been appointed as Executive Chef at Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa

German born Chef Mirko Loeffler started his culinary training in South Germany. He got his start working in some of Europe"s finest hotels throughout Germany, France, Monaco, Switzerland and Italy. He was hired by a French restaurant, The Ridgefield Inn, in Connecticut in 1983, which brought him stateside, and he spent a subsequent 4 years in New England before returning to Switzerland to open the five-star Les Haute de Gstaad Hotel. After a successful opening and a 9-month season, he returned again to America, where he held posts for Wyndham, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Adams Mark and Hilton Hotels, mostly on the East Cost and St. Louis. He also served as the executive chef for Sandals in Montego Bay, Jamaica. In 2010, he trained the culinary staff of six cruise ships of the Victoria Cruise Line, on the Yangtze River between Chongping and Shanghai, and once again returned to America where he opened his own restaurant, Mirko"s a Taste of Europe, in New Jersey.

Brett Schoenfield has been appointed as General Manager at Omni Bedford Springs Resort

An accomplished leader with 19 years of industry experience, Brett Schoenfield oversees all operations at Omni Bedford Springs Resort. Schoenfield arrived at the resort from the Vail Cascade Resort in Vail, Colo., where he served as general manager for five years and oversaw all operations of the mountain address, including the resort’s recent multi-million dollar renovation. Previously, he completed a year-long turn as general manager at the Riviera Resort & Spa in Palms Springs, Calif. Additionally, Schoenfield spent 12 years garnering valuable industry experience working at The Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Va., prior to Omni Hotels & Resorts’ acquisition in 2013. He began his tenure with The Homestead Resort holding the position of rooms division manager in 1995, and continued to achieve successive promotions to hotel manager, general manager and executive vice-president, until his appointment as president in 2004. A native of Michigan, Schoenfield earned a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He started his hospitality career in management positions at Hyatt Regency Maui; Hyatt Regency Atlanta; and Hyatt Regency Monterey.

Pamela Wolff has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Omni Bedford Springs Resort

As director of sales and marketing, Pamela Wolff works to maximize resort revenue among target markets by developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies, as well as managing the sales and conference services teams. Prior to joining Omni Bedford Springs Resort, Wolff spent three years as the regional director of sales and marketing for Prospera Hospitality, where she oversaw a portfolio of 11 hotels with revenues in excess of $35 million. She also garnered valuable industry experience working for Connections and Scott Enterprises, two hospitality sales and marketing consulting services in Pennsylvania. Additionally, Wolff served as senior regional director of sales and marketing for Vista Host Hotel Management in Houston, Texas, and began her career as regional director of operations for Mid-Atlantic Regional Cendant Corporation (Wyndham International) in 1999. Wolff earned a bachelor of arts degree in media and marketing communications from the University of Pittsburgh.

Paul Sherlock has been appointed as Director of Operations at Omni Bedford Springs

A hospitality veteran with more than 20 years of industry experience and a proven track record of success in providing superior guest services while exceeding business objectives, Paul Sherlock oversees all operations at the historic luxury hideaway, including food and beverage operations at all on-site dining outlets and in-room dining. Sherlock joined Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa following turns as director of food and beverage at L'Auberge Casino Resort at Lake Charles in Louisiana and Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Mo. Previously, he held management positions including vice president of food and beverage for Noble House Hotels & Resorts, as well as director of food and beverage and director of operations for the company's La Playa Beach & Golf Resort outpost in Naples, Fla. He was also director of food and beverage at the Lodge at Pebble Beach, which hosted the 2000 U.S. Open. There he gained experience with large-scale catering and player services for PGA Tour Tournaments and elite private club operations.

Ellen McGinnis has been appointed as Spa Director of Springs Eternal Spa at Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa

McGinnis has enjoyed an extensive career in spa and wellness. She arrived at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa from InSPAration Management, a Florida-based firm specializing in spa and salon business development, advanced education and management. At InSPAration she specialized in delivering a full spectrum of solutions to ensure business success for owners and operators of luxury resort and day spas as well as medical spas. Previously, McGinnis also served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Innovative Spa Management, a North Carolina based company, developing turn-key solutions to meet the needs of hospitality, spa and fitness clients. At Innovative Spa Management, she oversaw daily operations of more than 10 resort spa locations. McGinnis got her start in the spa industry, working over a decade with Arnold Palmer and IMG, specializing in high end locations and later opened one of the first themed spas on the East Coast, the legendary Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa in Asheville, NC.

S. Lee Bowden has been appointed as General Manager at Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa

Bowden began his career in the sales department at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York, where he was first a Convention Services Manager, then a Sales Manager. He moved on to the Woodstock Inn and Resort in Woodstock, Vermont, where he jumped from Director of Sales & Marketing to Resident Manager in just two years. His knowledge and passion led him to the positions of Vice President and General Manager at the Carambola Beach Resort in St. Croix and The Equinox in Manchester, VT; Managing Director at The Sagamore in Bolton Landing, NY; and President and Managing Director of the Gateway Canyons Resort in Gateway, CO.

Lesly Connolly has been appointed as Senior Sales Manager at Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa

Connolly joins the resort from the Mason Inn Conference Center & Hotel at George Mason University, which she opened as Group Sales Manager in July 2010. Previously, she served as the Convention Sales Manager of the DC satellite office of the Valley Forge Convention & Visitors Bureau and enjoyed more than 15 years of success in hotel sales with various hospitality organizations, including Benchmark Hospitality, Interstate Hotels and independently-owned boutiques. An active and engaged professional, Connolly currently serves as Vice President of Communications for the Potomac Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, which named her to its board of directors and honored her with its Rising Star Award in 2008. The National Capital Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals named her Supplier of the Year in 2007. Connolly earned an Associate of Science degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA.

Richard A. Brooks has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort

Omni Hotels has appointed Richard A. Brooks as director of sales and marketing of the Omni Bedford Springs Resort. The historic, circa-1796 resort re-opened in 2007 after a $120-million renovation and expansion and became part of Omni Hotels’ luxury portfolio on January 1, 2009. Located within a short drive from Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh, Penn., the resort sits on 2200 acres in the Allegheny foothills of south central Pennsylvania and has played host to 11 U.S. presidents. It was once considered the “Summer White House” of James Buchanan. Prior to joining Omni Hotel, Brooks served as director of sales and marketing at The Umstead Hotel & Spa, a 150-room luxury property in Cary, N.C. Brooks was responsible for all sales and marketing operations from pre-opening in January 2006 to October 2008. Brooks’ hospitality career also includes marketing and sales positions for Hilton, Westin and Walt Disney World Resorts. He graduated from Elon University with a degree in marketing.

Scott Stuckey has been named General Manager at Omni Bedford Springs Resort

Stuckey has been with Omni since 2005 where he previously served as general manager of the Omni Jacksonville Hotel. During his time in Jacksonville, he was president of the North Florida Hotel & Lodging Association, treasurer of Downtown Vision and chairman of Visit Jacksonville. He was also appointed by the mayor to the Convention Center Expansion Task Force. Under his leadership, Omni partnered with the Jacksonville Hospitality Institute (JHI) and was recently named “Advocate of the Year for 2008.” Prior to joining Omni Hotels, Stuckey held general manager positions at various Marriott Hotels. He graduated in 1988 from Wisconsin Stout with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
