Stefan Fuchs has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Capri by Fraser Brisbane

Frasers are pleased to announce the arrival of Stefan Fuchs, Capri by Fraser Brisbane’s new Director of Sales and Marketing commencing today. Stefan started his career in the hotel industry in Switzerland working his way up through various departments over time before moving to Australia. Since his move, Stefan has mainly worked across the Saville, Mantra and Stamford hotel groups in Brisbane and Canberra.

Grant Parnell has been appointed as General Manager at Mercure and Ibis Brisbane

Grant Parnell has swapped with Mark Wilkinson taking over the role of General Manager, Mercure and Ibis Brisbane. Grant joined AccorHotels in 1998 and held a number of Sales Management roles prior to his first General Manager appointment at the Mercure St Leonard’s in July 2006. In July 2012, Grant was appointed to his most recent role was as General Manager, Pullman and Mercure King George Square Brisbane.

Mark Wilkinson has been appointed General Manager, Pullman King George Square Brisbane. Mark has come full circle as he started his hospitality career as a section waiter at the hotel’s fine dining restaurant Olivers back in the late 1980s. Mark has held General Manager positions at Sofitel Queenstown, Sofitel Gold Coast and Novotel Twin Waters. His most recent role was General Manager, Mercure and Ibis Brisbane.

Alex Billing has been appointed as General Manager at NEXT Hotels Brisbane

SilverNeedle Hospitality has appointed Alex Billing as the new General Manager at its flagship brand and the world’s first NEXT Hotels in Brisbane. Mr Billing has 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and was most recently General Manager of the 340-room Rendezvous Grand Hotel Melbourne. Prior to that, Mr Billing held the position of General Manager at the Marque Hotel in Brisbane as well as Canberra.

Philippe Kronberg has been appointed as General Manager at Stamford Plaza

Stamford Hotels and Resorts announce the appointment of Philippe Kronberg as General Manager at Stamford Plaza Brisbane. Philippe returns to Brisbane directly from his most recent position as General Manager at Hilton Pattaya, Thailand. Before then he worked with Hilton Worldwide around the globe including China, Japan, Australia and Europe working for the Ritz in London. Philippe will oversee Stamford Plaza Brisbane’s operations and lead the team to continue to deliver quality and exceptional hotel experiences for both the corporate and leisure traveller. Philippe Kronberg brings with him over twenty years of experience and knowledge of the hospitality industry refined through his education from ‘Les Roches’, one of the top 3 hospitality management schools in the world. His career began at the Ritz London, which then led to over ten years experience with Hilton Worldwide. The completion of his Executive MBA (AGSM) awarded by the University of New South Wales and University of Sydney and his strong hospitality background will be a most valuable asset to Stamford Plaza Brisbane.

Bruno Cristol has been appointed as General Manager at Traders Hotel, Brisbane

Mr. Cristol, a French-Australian national, has worked with the Shangri-La group for more than a decade. His wealth of knowledge and experience includes opening new hotels and restaurants in Asia and Australia. Mr. Cristol first joined Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in 2001, as the Director of Food and Beverage at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong. Then in 2005, he moved to Australia to become the Resident Manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney. He was actively involved in the renovation and rebranding of the hotel, which led to Shangri‑La Hotel, Sydney receiving the “Best Luxury Accommodation” category award of the New South Wales Tourism Awards and being name the “Best Deluxe Hotel of the Year 2006” by the Australian Hotels Association (AHA).
