Loews Coral Gables Hotel, opening November 3, 2022, is pleased to announce Ricardo Jarquin as Executive Chef. In this role, Chef Jarquin will spearhead all culinary aspects of the new 242-room hotel, located in the heart of The Plaza Coral Gables. This includes the development and implementation of menus and culinary points of view for all dining outlets, banquet functions and curated hotel culinary programming.

Prior to her tenure at Hawks Cay, Barkley was the director of sales and marketing with the Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine and served as the national sales manager for The Ritz Carlton, Palm Beach and Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. She is a graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Communications with a major in journalism. She is also a Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP).
Prior to his appointment at Hyatt Regency Coral Gables, Tyler was part of a successful opening sales team at Grand Hyatt San Antonio. His expertise was essential in achieving record sales for the hotel. A Pennsylvania State University alumnus, Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management and is currently a member of the American Society of Association Executives. Located in the heart of historic downtown Coral Gables and walking distance from the Miracle Mile, December marked the completion of a $10 million transformation of the hotel. The luxurious new rooms have a chic Moorish design to reflect the hotel’s decor theme, which pays tribute to the Alhambra Palace in Spain.
