Kristen Pikula has been appointed as General Manager at Courtyard Hartford Cromwell

Pikula, a hospitality industry veteran with more than 15 years' experience, joins the Cromwell team for her most recent position as General Manager at the Residence Inn Marriott in Southington, an award-winning property also managed by Waterford. During her tenure in Southington, Pikula led her team to win numerous awards from both Marriott International and Waterford, including Waterford's Team of the Year in 2010 and the company's prestigious Chairman's Award in 2012. Pikula once also previously held the position of Director of Sales for the Courtyard Cromwell, and brings a level of familiarly and experience to the recently renovated property.

Steve Matiatos has been appointed as General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott

Waterford Hotel Group recently announced the appointment of Steve Matiatos as General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Cromwell, CT. The 145-room Courtyard, which recently completed a major renovation of its lobby, is managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel and convention center management firm.As General Manager, Matiatos will oversee all operational, sales and administrative aspects of the property. His prior hospitality management experience includes General Manager positions for Radisson hotels in both Merrimack, NH and New London, CT, and the Courtyard Marriott in Danbury, CT. Matiatos also served as Transition Team Manager – Detroit Region for Sage Hospitality Resources and District Director for Buffalo Lodging Associates. He joins the Courtyard Cromwell team from his most recent position as General Manager for the Hilton Garden Inn in Shelton, CT.

Holly Anderson-Bender has been named Director of Sales at Courtyard by Marriott

Holly Anderson-Bender has been named Director of Sales for the Courtyard by Marriott in Cromwell, CT. The 145-room Courtyard is managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel and convention center management firm. Anderson-Bender brings extensive hospitality sales experience to the team at Courtyard Marriott Cromwell. Her roles include Director of Sales & Marketing positions at several Connecticut hotels, including the Stamford Plaza Hotel & Conference Center, Trumbull Marriott, Westchester Marriott, and Dolce Hotels & Resorts in Norwalk and Southbury. Anderson-Bender most recently served as Director of Sales & Marketing for The Study at Yale Hotel in New Haven. Anderson-Bender holds an Associate of Science Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Johnson & Wales College in Providence, RI, and is a member of Meeting Professional International. She currently resides in Milford, CT.

Fleming joins the Courtyard Cromwell with extensive hospitality experience. She began her career with Waterford Hotel Group in 2002 as Director of Sales for the Residence Inn by Marriott in Burlington, VT, and in 2007 served as General Manager for the Residence Inn by Marriott and Whitehall Mansion, both located in Mystic, CT. Most recently, Fleming served as General Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott in Norwich, CT for Waterford Hotel Group.

Kristen Pikula has been named Director of Sales for the Courtyard by Marriott in Cromwell, CT. The 145-room Courtyard is managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel and convention center management firm. Pikula joined Waterford Hotel Group in February of 2006 as Director of Sales of the Residence Inn in Southington, CT, where she was later promoted to General Manager. During her tenure at the Residence Inn she led her team to win numerous awards from both Marriott International and Waterford Hotel Group, including Waterford’s “Team of the Year” in 2010. Prior to joining Waterford, Pikula held positions as Event Coordinator for ESPN, Director of Sales at the Centennial Inn in Farmington, CT, and Executive Meeting Manager at the Marriott in Farmington, CT. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Resort Management from the Rochester Institute in Rochester, NY.
