Santosh Koshy George has been appointed as Cluster Director of Sales at Avani Deira Dubai Hotel and Oaks Hotels & Resorts UAE

Santosh has over 25 years' experience in the hospitality and travel industry sectors, having worked extensively in Dubai in most of his career journey. He started his career in Dubai in 1992 and worked with various hospitality and tourism sectors such as Wi nchester Group, Al Faris Group, Urban Tourism and Damac Properties among others. His last post prior to Avani and Oaks was as Cluster Director of Sales of Millennium Hotels and Resorts. A non-novice to MINOR Hotels International, he was formerly the Sales and Marketing Manager and a part of pre-opening team for Oaks Liwa Heights Dubai JLT from 2008 to 2010. Santosh reports directly to the Cluster General Manager Mr Siva Ram. Putta who oversees the 3 properties namely, Avani Deira Dubai with 215 keys, Oaks Liwa Heights Hotels & Apartments JLT Dubai with 168 keys and Oaks Liwa Executive Suites Abu Dhabi with 54 keys.

Khaled Khaled has been appointed as Director of Operations at Conrad Dubai

Conrad Dubai the 5 star luxury hotel located on Sheikh Zayed Road is pleased to announce the appointment of Khaled Khaled as its Director of Operations. In this role, Khaled will provide strategic leadership and oversee the hotel's daily operations including rooms, food and beverage and banqueting services. Khaled joins the property from his previous role as Hotel Manager of the Grand Hotel Plaza in Rome.Khaled brings with him over 19 years hospitality experience having firs t joined the Hilton family in 2008 at Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri in which he held various operational positions before joining the pre-opening team of Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam. Among a great number of achievements throughout his career, Khaled was selected in 2012 for the Top Talent program for W&S Europe and in 2013, won best project of the year with immediate implementation in the region. His strengths lie in his proven track record of effective leadership and management of various aspects of hotels.

Mahmoud Abdelnaby has been appointed as Director of Sales at Meliã Desert Palm Dubai

Mahmoud Abdelnaby, an Egyptian national, has more than 14 years of hospitality experience. Prior to this appointment, Abdelnaby was the director of sales for Rotana, Salalah where he was in charge of sales, catering and the events departments. During his tenure with Rotana, he has hosted World Health Organisation ministerial events in addition to restructuring the sales office and implementing the new MICE policy and standard operating procedure. He was also the assistant director of sales at the Hilton Garden Inn, Mall of the Emirates, and Dubai from November 2016 to March 2018. Abdelnaby started his career with Hilton Hotels & Resorts in their regional sales office in Egypt as the regional sales coordinator. He worked with them for almost 10 years before taking on the mantle of Deputy Sales Director of Cairo Ramses Hilton in 2015.

Assia Rahhaoui has been appointed as Front Office Manager and Guest Experience Manager at Meliã Desert Palm Dubai

A French national, Rahhaoui has more than seven years of experience in the hospitality industry. She started her career in 2012 with the Marriott Hotel Paris Champs-Élysées, France as the sales and marketing executive.Prior to joining Meliã Desert Palm Dubai, Rahhaoui was hotel operations mManager for The Act Hotel & 72 Hotel, UAE. She has also worked with The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel as their pre-opening guest experience manager and PR and business development manager.

With over 7 years' experience in 5-star hotels & resorts, McKenzie will be overseeing Front Office, Concierge, Spa & Pool's working with the relevant departments to drive new projects, incremental revenue & overall guest satisfaction. Before moving to Dubai and Radisson Blu, McKenzie spent two years at InterContinental London - The O2, with recently holding the position of Front of House Manager having previously spent five years at the Celtic Manor Resort in a variety of roles from Chef de Rang to Assistant Reception Manager.
