Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management Partners with The Malta Institute of Tourism Studies to Promote Excellence in International Tourism & Hospitality Studies

The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM), one of the world's leading hospitality business management schools and an integral part of the global luxury hotel company, Jumeirah Group, has signed an agreement with the Malta Institute of Tourism Studies. The objective of this memorandum of understanding is to provide vocational, degree and post graduate programmes for thousands of students.Gerald Lawless, Head of Tourism and Hospitality, Dubai Holding and Chancellor of the EAHM visited Malta to meet with His Excellency Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta, to see the site of the new college, and to sign the agreement.In relation to this new project, Gerald Lawless stated:"EAHM has established its reputation over the last 15 years as one of the best hotel schools in the world, and has very much become a centre of excellence in university-level education for aspiring professionals in the hospitality industry. We are honoured to have been chosen by the Government of Malta to work with the Institute of Tourism Studies." Daniel Kingston, Hotel Manager – opened the first Westin hotel in India as Front Office Manager in 2006. He returns to the Starwood family from Emaar Hospitality as Hotel Manager at Vida Downtown and Al Manzil Downtown in Dubai. Prior to that he was the pre-opening Director of Rooms at W Doha and part of the pre-opening task force at W Retreat & Spa Maldives.
