Ronald Little has been appointed as General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh

Ronald Little has been appointed as General Manager of RBH operated hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh. Edinburgh born Ronald (45) brings 16 years' managerial experience to the four star hotel and will be trusted to ensure the ongoing success and reputation of the hotel. Ronald is well versed in the operations of a vibrant hotel in the capital, having spent the last nine years as General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre - a fellow RBH property. He has also led teams to success in previous roles at Ramada Encore London West and Crowne Plaza London Docklands. Ronald Little will replace Grant McKenzie who moves to a senior role with Edinburgh headquartered real estate developer, Chris Stewart Group (CSG).

Now Open: Point A Edinburgh

The latest addition to the Point A Hotels budget boutique brand, Point A Edinburgh, will bring low-priced stylish rooms to the centre of the Scottish capital - the most visited destination in the UK outside of London - in time for the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Point A Edinburgh will be superbly located close to Haymarket Station, with 149 guest rooms (including 8 accessible rooms) and some featuring breath-taking views over Edinburgh's iconic buildings. It will feature a spacious, 24-hour hosted reception and a lobby lounge, where Point A's signature Brekkie will be served daily, and refreshments will be available 24/7. It will also have an extended food and beverage offering that includes pre-mixed alcoholic drinks and miniatures offered for sale at the bar and hot food in the lounge including a selection of pizzas and chicken wings. Within the new Edinburgh property, there will be free, superfast WiFi throughout the public areas and the guest rooms, which also feature luxury Hypnos beds with fabric headboards and throws from the Isle of Bute, power showers, mood lighting and a 43-inch Samsung Smart TV, with Google Chromecast which allows customers to watch their own content on the hotel TV, providing a home from home experience.

YOTEL comes to Scotland with plans for YOTEL Edinburgh

YOTEL today announced plans to open its first hotel in Scotland"s capital Edinburgh in Q1 of 2019. The city centre hotel will be located on the famous Queen Street in Edinburgh, at Erskine House. Situated in a remarkably central location and surrounded by a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the new hotel will boast easy access to top city attractions and have excellent transport links with both Waverley and Haymarket railway stations within walking distance.

Peter Dornom has been appointed as General Manager at Norton House Hotel & Spa

Peter Dornom is a seasoned hotelier with over 33 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and joins Norton House Hotel after 23 years with Marriott and Whitbread, most recently following 15 years as General Manager of the Marriott in Edinburgh. After beginning his career with a traineeship at Selsdon Park Hotel in Surrey, Peter took on management roles in operations at the Copthorne Hotel Birmingham, the Goodwood Park Hotel, Golf & Country Club and Tewkesbury Park Hotel, Golf & Country Club, before his first General Manager role in 1996 at the Stone House Hotel in Staffordshire.
