Marti Trieschmann has been promoted to Area Director of Sales & Marketing at Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa

Following almost four years of success as Director of Sales & Marketing, for the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa, Marti Trieschmann has been promoted to Area Director of Sales & Marketing. In her new role, Trieschmann oversees all top line revenue efforts of the beachfront property and in addition, the newly acquired Sunshine Suites Resort, which includes its popular onsite restaurant, Sunshine Grill. Trieschmann oversees the group sales and marketing teams of each property, consisting of more than 12 hospitality professionals.

Morty Valldejuli has been promoted to Vice President Managing Director at Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa

Following four years of success as General Manager/Area Managing Director, Valldejuli has been promoted to Vice President Managing Director of Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. In his new role, Valldejuli has oversight of other branded properties in the southern/Florida region of Pyramid Hotel Group, Manager of Westin Grand Cayman. Valldejuli will also manage the upcoming two-phase floor-to-ceiling redesign of the Westin Grand Cayman's lobby, public spaces, guestrooms and recreation areas. He also oversees the property's neighboring property, Sunshine Suites Resort.

Willy V. Giger has been appointed as General Manager at Morritt's Tortuga Club Club and Resort

David Morritt, developer and president of Morritt's Properties Ltd., has named industry veteran Willy Giger as resort general manager of the 206-suite Morritt's Resort (http://www.Morritts.com), making this a homecoming as Giger previously served as senior vice president and general manager from 1992-99 at Morritt's Tortuga Club. Over the years, Giger has served as the general manager at other resorts in the Cayman Islands including the Britannia Villas & Britannia Estates, Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort and Royal Resorts. In the early part of his career, Giger was the director of food and beverage at Renaissance International Treasure Island Resort. Most recently, Giger was a partner with RGB Consulting where the team provided consulting services for new acquisitions and developments, resort operations and food and beverage management for resorts across the Philippines and Malaysia. Giger has twice been named Hotelier of the Year from the Cayman Islands Hotel and Condominium Association, once in 1989 and again in 1998. He was nominated as General Manager of the Year by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) in 1994 and 1995 and earned an ARDA silver award in 1996 and 1997 as well as a gold award in 1997.

Prior to arriving in Grand Cayman, Trieschmann was the Area Director of Sales & Marketing for the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, an Official Walt Disney World® Resort, as well as Orlando Vista Hotel. She oversaw all group, leisure and wholesale revenue generation.

Anne Renken has been appointed as Sales Manager at Casuarina Resort & Spa

Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa on Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands has announced the appointment of Anne Renken, CMM as Sales Manager. Renken is responsible for group sales northeast - including Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. She is based in Connecticut. Renken joins Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa following a brief run as a sales consultant, providing expertise and support to U.S. companies on meeting management and strategic account planning for international development. Her consulting position followed five years garnering a distinguished record of achievement as Director of Partnership Sales/Intermediary Sales for Sawgrass Golf Resort and Spa in Ponte Verde Beach, Florida.
