Alongside his hotel career, Juan pursued higher education, earning a business marketing degree from California State University, Fullerton. Throughout his career, Juan has held pivotal sales manager positions at esteemed establishments such as Hilton Irvine in California, Buttes Marriott in Tempe, Arizona, South Seas Island Resort in Captiva Island, Florida, and most recently at Colonial Williamsburg Resorts in Williamsburg, Virginia. Juan's extensive experience has endowed him with a profound understanding of sales strategies and his arrival promises to infuse the team at The Omni Homestead Resort with a dynamic blend of expertise, dedication, and passion, ensuring continued success for the resort.

Interior Renovations Underway at The Omni Homestead Resort

The $140+ million investment into The Omni Homestead Resort, which began with façade improvements last fall, has now moved to the interior with the renovations to the historic West Wing. While the exterior work by Complete Property Services continues, HITT Contracting, one of the largest and most respected commercial general contractors in the United States, is the construction firm of record for the far-reaching project.

Longtime luxury resort executive Mark Spadoni has been named managing director for The Omni Homestead Resort, effective Monday, April 12. For the past 20 years, Spadoni has served as the general manager for the AAA Four-Diamond Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa and Club at Savannah Harbor, leading the team to top accolades from Westin, Condé Nast Traveler, Golfweek and others.

John Hess has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at The Omni Homestead Resort

The Omni Homestead Resort, a premier destination located across more than 2,000 scenic mountain acres, recently appointed John Hess as the new director, sales and marketing for the property. In his new role, Hess will lead the departments responsible for catering and convention service, marketing and communications, group sales, revenue management and resort membership in addition to being a member of the resort's executive leadership committee.

Richard A. Ross has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Omni Homestead Resort

Ross joins The Omni Homestead Resort with over 30 years of operations, sales, marketing and multi-property leadership experience. He has relocated from Dallas, Texas where he was most recently vice president of sales for Remington Hotels. Ross realized his lifelong dream of becoming a hotelier through his first high school job as a busboy at the Hotel Hershey - now the Omni Bayfront in Corpus Christi, Texas - and pursued his goals through studies in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the Conrad Hilton College, part of the University of Houston system.

Brett Schoenfield has been appointed as Managing Director at Omni The Homestead Resort

The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Va., has announced the appointment of Brett Schoenfield as managing director. An accomplished leader with more than 20 years of industry experience, the appointment brings Schoenfield back to Hot Springs after previously working at the resort for 12 years. In his new role, Schoenfield oversees all operations of the iconic, 250 year-old resort.

Greg Barnhill has been appointed as Executive Chef at Omni Homestead Resort

Barnhill first arrived at The Omni Homestead Resort in 2012 following a five-year stint at the famed Broadmoor, a Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond resort in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Colorado Springs Gazette awarded Barnhill five stars for "inspired cuisine" and four stars for "bar food like no other" at the West Lobby Bar. He also won first place and best of show two years in a row at the nationally judged Colorado Springs Chorale Chef's Gala. And if all of the above weren't enough, under Barnhill's direction the Charles Court Restaurant received accolades for best seafood restaurant, best place to take a date, and best of the best in Colorado Springs.

As Director of Leisure and Travel Industry Sales, Donna Smith oversees industry-specific sales and marketing efforts for the two resorts, working closely with wholesales tour operators, retail travel agents and consortiums such as Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble and American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts.

Peter Faraone has been appointed as Vice President and General Manager at The Homestead

Peter Faraone, a hospitality industry veteran and decades-long Virginia resident, has been tapped to lead the nation’s most storied resort destination, The Homestead, located in Hot Springs, Va. Owned and operated by KSL Resorts, The Homestead has been welcoming guests, including 23 U.S. Presidents, since 1766. Faraone served most recently as managing director of the Lansdowne Resort, in Virginia. Prior to his post at the Lansdowne, Faraone held positions with leading hospitality brands including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Intercontinental Hotels, KSL Resorts, and Marriott Hotels. Positions at Ritz-Carlton, with which Faraone worked for more than 10 years, included his role as GM of the Ritz-Carlton Tyson’s Corners. At KSL Resorts, he served as vice president of sales, and was instrumental in developing KSL’s first national sales force during a period when the company was expanding its portfolio of destination resorts.
