Chef Daniel Franco will spearhead the culinary program as Executive Chef at Almare, which will span the property's three distinct restaurant concepts: BOGA, Seasalt, and Botanik. His post at Almare will showcase a harmonious blend of Daniel's strong Mexican culinary roots from Puebla and Yucatán and his passion for the simplicity and freshness of Italian cuisine. He also draws inspiration from the precise and beautiful presentation of Japanese cuisine and the balanced flavor profiles of Mediterranean cuisine. Prior to Almare, Chef Daniel Franco began his career with Meliá Hotels, where he refined his techniques under top-tier chefs from around the world. He has also worked with some of Mexico's most exclusive hotels, including One & Only Palmilla, where he worked under celebrity Chef Larbi Dahrouch, and honed his skills by collaborating with chefs like Jullien Asseo of Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. He has worked with Belmond Maroma, part of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group, and Hilton Hotels International where contributed to the Waldorf Astoria opening.

With a strong sense of commitment and creativity delivering solid results, Ana Leyva was promoted to Director of Property Sales. From spearheading supervisory to management assignments where she demonstrated exceptional leadership, with a remarkable ability to deliver high performing team results across JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Marriott Cancun Resort. She recently led the complete transformation of the Marriott Cancun Resort to become the first Marriott-branded All-Inclusive property, designed for families and multi-generational travelers, until its opening last March. Ana began her journey with Marriott in 2017 and brings over 15 years in the hospitality industry with her. From managing the Groups and Weddings segments for her properties in Mexico and Jamaica to overseeing three hotel openings, Ana will bring her wealth of experience to Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Isla Mujeres.

Enrique Solari has been appointed General Manager of Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Isla Mujeres, overseeing the official launch of the property, which opened on October 25th, 2024. Prior to this, Mr. Solari served as the General Manager of The Haciendas, The Luxury Collection, where he led and developed innovative business strategies for five luxury Marriott International properties to advance the financial growth of the Marriott International Latin America portfolio and achieve overall guest satisfaction through dynamic sales and marketing campaigns. Starting his career as a housekeeping manager at The Ritz Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes, Enrique has seen first hand what is required and necessary to lead a successful hotel business chain. Transitioning to Assistant Director of Rooms at The Ritz Carlton Santiago, which solidified Enrique's passion for the luxury hotel business.

Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres Debuts in the Mexico Caribbean

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) today announced plans for the 509-room Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres, which is expected to open later this year, further expanding the Inclusive Collection in Mexico and strengthening Hyatt's brand footprint. The new resort will join the Inclusive Collection, the world's largest portfolio of luxury all-inclusive resorts comprised of ten distinct brands.

The SHA Mexico Residences – Opening 2023

Every detail behind the Residences has been curated with wellbeing in mind - from the idyllic setting, the architecture and design, the choice of natural and sustainable materials, and the cutting-edge in-house technology. The renowned Mexican architectural firm Sordo Madaleno, and the prestigious interior architect Alejandro Escudero have been carefully chosen by SHA to lead the design. White marble, natural fibres and fabrics, native woods, regional handicrafts and pottery are some of the interior design highlights guests can expect. There will be three categories available, including The Residence, The Beach House and The Penthouse, ranging between 240m2 and 800m2 with two, three and four-bedroom options. All Residences will include private access for owners, an outdoor and indoor integrated kitchen, generous terrace with private garden and glass infinity pool, laundry room and wine cellar. They will also incorporate state-of-the-art air and water purification systems, as well as home automation based on circadian rhythms. The building will rise to different heights, cohesively existing alongside gardens, mangroves and natural cenotes, built with the highest water and energy efficiency.
