Marriott and Sekisui House Announce 15 New Fairfield By Marriott Properties by 2021

Marriott International, Inc., today announced the signing of 12 Fairfield by Marriott hotels across five prefectures in Japan Kyoto, Wakayama, Mie, Gifu and Tochigi in a long-standing collaboration with Japanese real estate developer, Sekisui House; in total, an anticipated 15 hotels will be signed by next year. All properties are expected to open by 2021, with the first dozen hotels scheduled to open in late 2020. With more visitors exploring Japans lesser known destinations, these upcoming Fairfield by Marriott Hotels will give travelers access to remote destinations whilst ensuring that guests can count on the international brands standards of warm hospitality and inviting spaces with each and every stay.

Massimo Moreschini has been appointed as Director of Rooms & Hotel Residences at Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto

Massimo Moreschini has been appointed Director of Rooms & Hotel Residences of Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto from February 2018.  Most recently Massimo was Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms at Raffles Hotel Singapore. Past experiences include Rooms Division Director at Celtic Manor Resort, host of the 2010 Ryder Cup, and luxury London Hotels such as Claridge's and The Dorchester where he was engaged in both Food & Beverage and Rooms Division operations.

Newly-appointed General Manager, Yuji Tanaka is a seasoned international hotelier with over 25 years of luxury hotel experience across the globe who will lead an experienced team of ladies and gentlemen to further strengthen The Ritz-Carlton position as a luxury leader in Japan. Prior to his current position, Tanaka was Hotel Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo and Interim General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka. He has enjoyed over 15 years of leadership experience with luxury hotel groups in the United States and Japan.
