Kressa Olguin has been appointed as Marketing Manager at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe

A California native, Olguin began her career with Hyatt in 2007 as an assistant front office manager at Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport in Burlingame, CA. In 2010 she joined the team at Hyatt Regency Maui holding various roles from sales admin to business travel and leisure sales manager, as well as social media and marketing support manager. In 2015 Olguin moved to Hyatt Regency Monterey where she served as manager of group sales. From there, Olguin honed in on her passion for marketing and joined the team at Hyatt Regency Austin in 2016 as the property’s marketing manager. At Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino, Olguin will be responsible for overseeing the marketing for 422 guestrooms, suites and cottages, 50,000 square feet of meeting and event space, eight food and beverage outlets, the resort’s Stillwater Spa and Salon, among other onsite programming.

Tim Maland has been appointed as General Manager at Mont Blue Resort and Casino

Maland brings strong operating and financial experience to his new position. He also possesses a deep understanding of the Reno-Tahoe hospitality and gaming market having served as the President of the Reno Hilton from 2001 to 2006. Prior to his time with Hilton, Maland was General Manager of the Santa Fe Casino and Hotel and CFO of Caesar’s Palace, both in Las Vegas. Earlier in his career, he was Executive Vice President of Trump Plaza in Atlantic City. Maland served the state of Nevada in 2007 and 2008 as Director of the Nevada State Tourism Commission, a state agency that had a promotion budget of $23 million. Maland is a CPA who earned his Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative systems in 1975 at the Arizona State University School of Business.
