Alice Bouman has been appointed as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Lana’i at Manele Bay

Bouman, a 15-year veteran of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, has worked in management positions throughout North America, Europe and China. She makes the move to Hawaii from Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, where she served as director of rooms for the 200-room hotel. Prior to St. Louis, Bouman was with Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara in various roles including director of housekeeping, assistant director of rooms and director of rooms. Her past experience also includes appointments in Houston, Texas; London, England; Beijing, China; Paris, France; and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. A native of the Netherlands, Bouman is a graduate of Hoge Hotelschool Maastricht, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Hotel Management, with a specialty degree in Marketing. She lives in Lana’i City and enjoys spending time with family, travelling and hiking. In addition, she enjoys collecting organic and nutritional recipes from Four Seasons chefs to support sustainability and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Her brother, who recently lost more than 300 pounds on Holland’s Extreme Makeover Weightloss Edition, has been her inspiration and she looks forward to experiencing Lana’i's many adventurous offerings to stay active, which includes running after her black lab/spaniel mix Shadow on the island’s many white-sand beaches.

Veljko Savic has been appointed as Spa Manager at Four Seasons Resorts Lanai

With a background in physiotherapy, Savic brings a wealth of knowledge and forward-looking methodology to The Spa at Manele Bay’s health and wellness program. A native of Serbia, he obtained his Diploma of Physiotherapy at the School of Medicine in Belgrade and then continued his studies with a Certification in Manual Massage Therapy from the Djuro Salaj Educational Center in Serbia. As a licensed massage therapist, Savic has incorporated his knowledge of physiotherapy and the workings of the body – such as anatomy and physiology, and combined them with a holistic approach, including aromatherapy, bio-energy and psycho kinesiology, when designing beneficial treatments and programs for guests. His health and wellness philosophy is to close the gap between treating the symptoms as in Western practices and treating the cause associated with Eastern practices.

Kevin Erving has been appointed as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resorts Lana'i

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Chef Erving joined Four Seasons Resorts Lanai from Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver in June 2011, where he worked alongside former Lana'i executive chef Oliver Beckert as the Hotel’s executive sous chef. Prior to Vancouver, Erving served as executive sous chef at the iconic Ritz-Carlton Hotel Chicago, A Four Seasons Hotel. Before the “Windy City,” he held various culinary positions at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, where he began his career more than twenty years ago.

George Tanzman has been appointed as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Lāna‘i at Manele Bay

Tanzman, a 20-year veteran of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, has worked in management positions in some of the most exclusive and luxurious destinations in the world, in North America, Asia and Australia. His international expertise and sense of adventure have garnered Tanzman highly coveted appointments at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, Four Seasons Resort Nevis, Four Seasons Corporate Office Hong Kong, Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, and most recently at Four Seasons Resort Aviara. Over the course of his career, he has held positions in, or provided on site support, to well over twenty Four Seasons properties. Tanzman’s hospitality career began in 1990 at Four Seasons Hotel Boston, where he served as assistant housekeeping manager. Tanzman is a graduate of the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He also received a Master of Science in Business from the Isenberg School of Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst’s Department of Hospitality and Tourism. He lives in Lāna‘i City with his wife Phelia and enjoys music, cooking, travel, and exploring Lāna‘i’s many off-the-beaten path adventures.

Todd Yamaoka has been named at Four Seasons Resort Lana‘i, The Lodge at Koele

Yamaoka, a 12-year veteran Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, has worked in management positions throughout North America. Todd makes the move to Hawaii from Four Seasons Hotel Austin, where he served as assistant director of rooms. Prior to Austin, Yamaoka was with Four Seasons Hotel Washington D.C. as assistant director of rooms and director of conference services. Todd’s first stint in the Islands came at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, where he worked in catering and conference service management. Todd’s hospitality career began in 1998 at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, where he worked in various hotel capacities. Yamaoka is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Victoria College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Commerce and Economics. He also completed the Japanese Program at the Japanese Language Institute in Tokyo. An avid golfer, Todd lives in Lana‘i City, and enjoys hiking, camping, fly fishing and travel.
