The Inn at Mattei's Tavern, Auberge Resorts Collection, an award-winning landmark hotel in the heart of California's Central Coast, opens a new chapter with the debut of its brand new spa and wellness concept, Lavender Barn, an Auberge Spa. Inspired by the aromatic flowers, deep roots, rich soil and twilight skies of Los Olivos, it combines age-old remedies and bodywork with the essence of slow wellness. Lavender Barn is a sanctuary where social enthusiasts and wellness seekers alike can explore new modalities, elevate their spirits, reconnect with nature or simply unwind. The spa will feature a calendar of visiting practitioners, ranging from yoga and meditation to local healers and regional wellness experts. Integrating the essence and vitality of Los Olivos into its body therapies, immersive treatments and wellness workshops, Lavender Barn is set to become California's premier destination for wellbeing.

Joern Schwaiger has been appointed as General Manager at The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Resort Collection

The Inn at Mattei's Tavern, Auberge Resort Collection, a historic landmark turned luxury destination in Los Olivos, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joern Schwaiger as General Manager. A seasoned hospitality veteran with over 20 years of luxury hotel experience, Joern will oversee all operations for the 6.5 acre property.

Rhoda Magbitang has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Resorts Collection

As the new Executive Chef for The Inn at Mattei's Tavern, Rhoda Magbitang has quickly ascended through the ranks of the food & beverage industry, from starting in the Philippines cooking for her five siblings as part of her daily chores, to working for the likes of Jose Andres and Susanne Goin. Her first Executive Chef role was at the iconic Chateau Marmont, and most recently she held the same role at Petit Ermitage in Los Angeles. A sought-after culinary destination unto itself, all of Mattei's Tavern dining venues share a single thread: fresh, local California food with influences of ranch life.

Dave Elcon has been appointed as General Manager at The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Resort Collection

With over 15 years of luxury hospitality experience, Dave Elcon's appointment stems from his success within Auberge Resorts Collection over the past three years. He quickly became a key contributor to the leadership of the brand and has been instrumental in the success of the many properties he has overseen during his tenure. In this new position, Dave will oversee all operations for the 6.5 acre property. Prior to The Inn at Mattei's Tavern, he held positions with Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection and Vista Collina Resort, both located in Napa Valley. He is an avid fitness enthusiast, loves the outdoors, and most of all spending time with his wife Anne and 4-year-old daughter, Audrey.
