Leonardo Mainz Opens Earlier Than Planned

Leonardo Hotels Central Europe has opened its newest hotel in the Rhine-Main region earlier than announced. The Leonardo Mainz has been receiving guests since 15 July 2025, a good two weeks before the originally scheduled launch date of 1 August. Hotel Director David Wilhelm and his team were on hand to greet the first guests in person. The Hagman Kadri family from Sweden had been on a two-week trip through Europe and took a spontaneous decision to check in on the opening day. They were delighted to be given such a great reception.

Appointment

Matthias Sieber-Wagner has been appointed as General Manager at IntercityHotel Mainz

September will see changes in key personnel at a number of IntercityHotels in Germany as several General Managers move to new locations. Matthias Sieber-Wagner, who is moving from Nuremberg. Mr. Sieber-Wagner already has experience of his new place of employment, having acted as Deputy General Manager there in 2010. He subsequently moved to the Corporate Office as Group Revenue Manager before being appointed to head up the IntercityHotel Nuremberg in June 2013.
