Heidi Scartozzi has been appointed as Director of Sales at Hilton Memphis

Hilton Memphis is proud to welcome Heidi Scartozzi as its new Director of Sales. Heidi, a 15-year hospitality veteran is a valued addition to Davidson Hotels & Resorts, who manages the hotel. The Spokane native most recently was regional director of sales for JQH Hotels and Resorts servicing 13 hotels on the west coast and has also worked in Charlotte and Albany. "I am looking forward to bringing the Hilton Memphis to the next level," Heidi said. "Our team is becoming a big presence in Memphis."

Lori Huffstutler has been appointed as Director of Sales, Catering and Marketing at The DoubleTree by Hilton Memphis

Ms. Huffstutler brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industries. She most recently served as senior catering manager at the Westin Memphis Beale Street. Prior to that, Ms. Huffstutler held regional management positions in catering and tour and travel sales at Caesar's Entertainment. Her career also includes management positions in sales, catering, public relations and marketing with multiple major hotels in Memphis.Ms. Huffstutler is a Certified Professional in Catering and Events and a member of the National Association of Catering & Events, where she has served on its board of directors since 2003. She is also an active member of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.

Heidi Wilcox has been named First Female Owners Advisory Council (OAC) Chair at Hilton Garden Inn Brand

Hilton Garden Inn has named Heidi Wilcox as the brand’s first female Owners Advisory Council (OAC) Chair. Wilcox is currently the chief operating officer (COO) of hotel and resort hospitality management company First Call Hospitality, which manages three Hilton Garden Inn franchises; Overland Park, Kansas; Eden Prairie, Wisconsin and Fort Worth, Texas. As the OAC Chair, Heidi will oversee quarterly meetings and provide essential feedback to the brand management team to guide the upscale hotel brand’s future direction. The council meets on everything concerning the Hilton Garden Inn brand and business, from new products and standards to beta testing future innovations and training programs. The OAC is comprised of eight owners and management company representatives of all of Hilton Garden Inn’s property types, including urban, suburban, airport hotels, large and small properties.

Don Willingham has been appointed as VP brand performance support and sales, for the Hilton Garden Inn brand at Hilton Worldwide

Willingham joins the Hilton Garden Inn team most recently as senior director, brand sales, Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites by Hilton. He has more than twenty years of hospitality experience, ranging from brand sales support, training and operations. Willingham graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a bachelor of science in Business Administration and a major in marketing. After graduating college, he worked for several hotels in the Atlanta area and went on to become the general manager at two Atlanta Hampton Inn hotels. He joined Promus Hotels in 1994 as a training manager, where he was responsible for sales, pre-opening, and leadership development training. He later moved on to regional operations and development training for the Hampton, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites and Doubletree brands.

Samantha Barnett has been appointed as Director of Hotel Sales at Memphis Marriott Downtown

Born and raised in Surrey, England, Barnett began working in the hospitality sector as a college student in Cheltenham, England. Her first job was as a receptionist at Hatherly Manor Hotel where she was quickly promoted to front of house manager. She then became sales coordinator and food and beverage manager at Branksome & Horsley Conference Centre in Surrey. Prior to joining the Marriott family, she was director of sales at Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Bahrain.

Christian Kuhn has been appointed as Vice President, Marketing at Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites by Hilton

Prior to joining Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites, Kuhn served as director of brand marketing for Embassy Suites. During his three year tenure at Embassy Suites, Kuhn created and launched over 12 unique promotional sweepstakes, each setting new ROI records. He also guided the brand to build its first econometric model which ultimately led to the creation of the award-winning television marketing campaign featuring the “Mr. More” character. Under his leadership the Embassy Suites marketing team was awarded the Travel Weekly Gold Magellan for TV Campaigns, two Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association (HSMAI) Adrian Awards - Silver for Sweepstakes and Bronze for Complete Advertising, The Premier Print Award as well as a Platinum Hermes Creative award. Kuhn has more than 20 years of marketing experience, with more than 12 years at America Online (AOL) and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). At each organization he leveraged his marketing expertise in addition to his database marketing and segmentation background to create best in class marketing concepts and promotions.

Alan Roberts has been appointed as Vice President of Brand Performance and Support for Hilton Garden Inn at Hilton Worldwide

Roberts has been a member of the Hilton Garden Inn team since 2004, serving as both senior director and director, brand performance support. He has more than twenty-five years of hospitality experience, ranging from operations, to multi-unit management and executive level positions. Roberts graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelor of science in Business Administration. After graduating, he worked for several hotels in the Charlotte, NC area and went on to become the general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn - Charlotte Uptown. Before joining the Hilton Garden Inn brand team, he worked at Panos Hotel Group, overseeing a 12-hotel portfolio. As vice president, brand performance and sales support for Hilton Garden Inn, Roberts will oversee the Hilton Garden Inn brand’s regional brand performance support (BPS) team in operations, sales and marketing support. Additionally, Roberts will provide direction to other shared service departments within Hilton Worldwide on the direction of Hilton Garden Inn, as well as customer relationship management and training, operational support, brand sales and distribution and new brand openings teams. In his new role, Roberts’ overarching goal is for his team is to provide the guidance, training, tools and resources for all hotels and ownership groups.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Homewood Suites by Hilton, the international brand of all-suite, residential-style hotels today celebrates its 20th anniversary of providing extended-stay, business and leisure travelers with many of the comforts and conveniences of home. The brand enters its 20th year with three consecutive quarters of steady growth in market share, a development pipeline of more than 120 planned properties and a current footprint of more than 275 hotels -- more than 30,000 upscale suites -- throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Chris Rosa has been named General Manager at The Holiday Inn and Suites Memphis - Wolfchase

As general manager, Rosa will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the property, which is expected to open in the second quarter of 2009. He brings more than 30 years of experience to the role, including positions as vice president of Operations for Equity Estates, general manager at the Sheraton Meadowlands, area manager of the Crowne Plaza Ravinia in Atlanta, as well as other prominent positions in the hospitality industry dating back to 1986. Under Rosa’s management, properties have been awarded Quality Excellence and Guest Loyalty Awards from IHG and the President’s Award from Wyndham Hotels for market share excellence. Rosa has also been named General Manager of the Year by Patriot American Hotels and Hotelier of the Year by the Connecticut Hospitality Association. Rosa will be at the helm of a property that will showcase the new Holiday Inn sign, which is the seal of approval that this hotel exemplifies the standards of the $1 billion Holiday Inn brand relaunch program.
