Gabriel Perez has been appointed as General Manager at Washington Park Hotel

Gabriel Perez brings extensive experience in branded, independent, historic boutique hotels, resort settings, condo hotel operations, and new build pre-opening projects. As General Manager of Washington Park Hotel, he is responsible for driving overall operations and guest satisfaction of the hotel’s 181 guestrooms, signature restaurant Employees Only, and tropical cocktail bar, Swizzle. Perez will utilize his vast network to expand upon the hotel’s thoughtful array of on-brand programming, which includes a rotating photography program, as well as building community relations. Previously, the 30-year hospitality veteran served as General Manager at the TRYP Maritime Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, the third U.S. outpost of Wyndham’s select-service TRYP brand. He has also held General Manager positions at the Hyatt Place in West Palm Beach, the Hyatt Place Meadows Casino in Pittsburgh, and the Montauk Blue Hotel in the Hamptons.

Clinton Hotel Reopens After Renovation

Cristiano Buono has joined The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach as General Manager

Buono has held various leadership positions in both residential and hotel management, at properties including The Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen Highlands, and The Ritz-Carlton Abama, Golf & Spa Resort in Tenerife, Canary Islands, and EDITION Hotels: The London EDITION, and most recently, The New York EDITION. Buono brings to The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach more than two decades of experience from over ten countries around the world and a long-standing relationship with The Ritz-Carlton brand. His deep understanding of working effectively with teams from many cultures, hands-on approach and passion for luxury experiences will focus on The Residences’ owner engagement, managing and implementing long standing hotel-style amenities, and pushing his team to provide outstanding levels of service. With extensive professional experiences across the globe including Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, United Kingdom, and Spain, Buono’s expertise comes to Miami Beach– a city where many cultures come together and within a property where many world travelers call home. Buono holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Hotel Management School IPAS and speaks English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian fluently.

Christine Judson has been appointed as Director of group sales at W South Beach.

With over 10 years of experience, Judson will oversee all group sales efforts for W South Beach. Most recently, Judson served as senior sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach and Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour, Miami. Prior experience includes sales management positions with Ritz-Carlton and Marriott International at The Hotel Arts Barcelona, Penha Longa Resort in Sintra, Portugal and Vila Sol Algarve, a Renaissance Spa and Golf Resort.

Dean Peters has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at W South Beach

Peters brings more than 28 years of leading hospitality experience to W South Beach. In his new role, Peters oversees all sales and marketing efforts, including leisure, entertainment and business travel, catering and group sales, digital and creative marketing efforts, branding initiatives, strategic partnerships, advertising, and media efforts. Most recently, Peters served as area sales leader for 15 Marriott managed properties in Miami and Marco Island. Prior experience includes several sales and marketing leadership positions under various hotel flags in Florida, Texas and the CALA region, including Marriott Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton and Renaissance Brands.

Sharee Hines has joined Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel as Director Of Sales And Marketing

Kimpton’s Surfcomber Hotel in South Beach, Miami is pleased to announce the appointment of Sharee Hines as the director of sales and marketing for the design-inspired boutique hotel that offers ocean view board meetings, intimate beachfront weddings; and combines “daylife” and delight to provide the ultimate guest experiences. In her new role, Hines will spearhead all sales and marketing activities, while leading the hotel’s dedicated sales team to position Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel as the area’s choice hotel for boutique offerings. She will also establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners that will further support the Kimpton of Florida brand initiatives overall. Hines joins Surfcomber with a Kimpton background, most recently serving as director of sales for Kimpton Ink48 Hotel in New York City where she took part in re-launching the property after a multimillion-dollar renovation. Prior to that, in her six-year tenure at Kimpton Hotel Eventi, Hines was part of the pre-opening team and held several roles including area director of group sales, director of group sales, national account coverage rep, senior sales manager and group sales manager. Hines also held sales manager roles at Millennium Hilton New York and Hilton Newark Penn Station. She is excited to join the Kimpton South Beach property and hopes to use her effective sales strategies and tactics cultivated in New York to produce sales growth for Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel.

IBEROSTAR Opens New Hotel in South Beach

Lucy Martin has been appointed as General Manager at Celino South Beach

Most recently, Martin was the general manager at Shore Club in South Beach and part of the pre-opening leadership team for 1 Hotel South Beach. A native of Manchester, England, Martin’s tenure with Morgans Hotel Group allowed her to hold various executive positions at London, Scottsdale and Miami properties.

Chris Sariego has been appointed as Vice President and General Manager at Delano South Beach and SLS Baha Mar

Most recently, Sariego spent over four years at the Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas as Senior Vice President and General Manager with direct responsibility for the Luxury Cove Resort, The Reef Luxury Residential Resort, The Dolphin Cay, The Marine Park and the Water Park. In addition, he was President of the Homeowners Association and President for the Blue Project Foundation. Previously, Sariego held General Manager and senior leadership roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, Intercontinental and Starwood Hotels. Sariego holds an MBA from Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile and a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University in Miami.

Franck Steigerwald has been appointed as Executive Chef at St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort

The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Bal Harbour, Fla., appointed Franck Steigerwald as executive chef. Steigerwald will oversee all culinary operations including the luxury resort’s newest restaurant concept Atlantikós, along with BH Burger Bar, The St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge, La Gourmandise, in-room dining, weddings and events. The French chef brings more than 12 years of industry experience with him to The St. Regis Bal Harbour.

Greg Kocsis has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager at COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach

Dominik Trimborn has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort & Residences

Most recently, Trimborn served as the director of sales and marketing at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok, Thailand. Prior to that, he held the position of deputy director of sales and marketing at The St. Regis Bali in Indonesia. During his time at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., Trimborn was the director of leisure sales, where he was responsible for positioning Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the Region on the European and Middle Eastern markets, supporting the opening and positioning of more than 10 properties, including the first The St. Regis Hotel in Thailand and Luxury Collection Resorts on the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui, Thailand.A graduate of the Munich School for Tourism and Hospitality Management, fluent in English and German, Trimborn’s international experience contributes an expansive and eclectic perspective to The St. Regis Bal Harbour management team.
