Ben Risseeuw has been appointed as General Manager at Milwaukee Marriott Downtown

Risseeuw most recently served as the General Manager of the Springhill Suites Milwaukee Downtown after relocating from the northern Chicago suburbs in late 2018. In Schaumburg, he served as the Dual General Manager of the Residence Inn and Springhill Suites Schaumburg, and as Assistant General Manager at the Hilton Garden inn Schaumburg. Before joining White Lodging, Risseeuw served in various leader roles at Aparium Hotel Group and Marriott International. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.

Steve Martin has been promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer at The Marcus Corporation

The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS) today announced the promotion of Steve Martin to chief human resources officer. In this role, Martin will lead the corporate human resources function and become a member of the company's executive management committee. Nykoli Koslow has been named Next Artist in Residence at The Pfister® Hotel

The historic AAA Four Diamond Pfister® Hotel, owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, today announced Nykoli Koslow as the hotel's 12th Artist in Residence. Born in Chicago and Milwaukee-based, Koslow is a conceptual abstraction artist and will work in the hotel's lobby-level Artist's Studio for one year beginning April 1, 2020. He is succeeding current Pfister Artist in Residence and portraitist, Rosy Petri, who will culminate her residency with a Blues, Brews, and BBQ event at The Pfister Hotel, on March 27, 2020.

Cambria Welcomes First Hotel in Milwaukee

Cambria Hotels, an upscale brand franchised by Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE:CHH), celebrated its continued expansion in Wisconsin with the grand opening of the Cambria Hotel Milwaukee Downtown. The four-story, 132-room hotel is the brand's first location in Milwaukee and the third Cambria hotel to open in the state, joining the Cambria Hotel Appleton and the Cambria Hotel Madison East. Christine Lunz has been appointed as Director of Events at Hilton Milwaukee City Center

A Wisconsin native, Lunz brings over 16 years of experience in hotel event management to the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. In her most recent role, she served as the director of catering for the Marriott Milwaukee West for seven years. She was also the director of catering and conference services for three years at The Clock Tower Resort & Conference Center in Rockford, Ill. Lunz began her career and passion for hotel events at The Abbey Resort in Lake Geneva, Wis. An FTD-certified floral designer, Lunz is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

David Bodette has been appointed as General Manager at Arts Hotel, Saint Kate

Marcus Hotels' VP of HR Steve Martin has been named 2018 HR Award Winner at Milwaukee Business Journal

Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, a nationally recognized hotel owner and management company, today announced that Steve Martin, vice president of human resources, has been recognized as a 2018 HR Award winner by the Milwaukee Business Journal. The prestigious award salutes southeastern Wisconsin's top HR practitioners who are making a difference in the human resources profession. Martin, who was recognized in the publicly held company category, is responsible for supporting and overseeing human resources issues and strategic initiatives for the company's entire hotel portfolio, which includes 21 hotels across the United States. An 18-year employee of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Martin was instrumental in re-imagining culture initiatives for the company and recently led the development of a new mission statement, "Serve People, Create Memories, Deliver Exceptional Experiences." Under Martin's leadership, the mission statement was integrated into all facets of hotel operations, and associates across multiple disciplines were reminded that simple customer service gestures make an extraordinary impact on guests. Martin also led efforts to improve the workplace environment for hotel associates through a variety of initiatives to include transforming associate break areas into "family rooms" where associates can dine in a special area that is focused on their enjoyment and relaxation during their shifts. Martin is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and holds its Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation as well as the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the HR Certification Institute. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in hospitality, restaurant and institution management from Iowa State University.
