Matthew Grauso has been appointed as General Manager at Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa

Highgate, a leading real estate and hospitality management company, announced today that Matthew Grauso has been appointed as General Manager of the new Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa at Sky Ala Moana. In his new role, Grauso will be responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the highly anticipated Marriott property, scheduled to open in late 2023 on Oahu.

Keith Mallini has been appointed as Orchids and Lewers Lounge Manager at Halekulani

As the new manager, Mr. Mallini is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations at Lewers Lounge and Orchids, an award-winning restaurant and one of Oahu's top culinary destinations. Mr. Mallini is a former chef and will add a new level to Orchids' Mediterranean concept, casual elegance and sophisticated flavors, as well as the contemporary and classic libations and delectable fare offered at Lewers Lounge. Mr. Mallini has extensive experience managing food and beverage operations, most recently opening Baku, a restaurant at the newly renovated International Marketplace in Waikiki. He has also held positions at Sixteen at Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago, as well as Hawaii's Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa.

Crystal DeRosier has been appointed as Marketing Manager at Halekulani

In her new role, Ms. DeRosier is responsible for website development and social media, as well as building and maintaining relationships with all traditional and digital marketing partners. Ms. DeRosier will also work closely with the hotel's public relations team to improve overall brand reach and awareness. Prior to Halekulani, Ms. DeRosier served as Event and Marketing Communications Manager at The Modern Honolulu and worked in Special Events for Walt Disney Studios.

Jason Waterlow has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Halekulani

Waterlow brings many years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry to Halekulani. Prior to Halekulani, Waterlow most recently held the Managing Director position at the Inn at Little Washington, a AAA Five-Diamond, Forbes Five-Star, Michelin two-star property that focuses on delivering masterful culinary experiences. Waterlow has also held leadership roles at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, L'Auberge de Sedona, Chateux du Sureau, and the Four Seasons Maui where he contributed immensely to their success and reputation.

Bonnie Bise has been appointed as Public Relations Manager at Halekulani and Waikiki Parc

In her new role, Bonnie Bise will be responsible for all aspects of public relations and marketing communications for Halekulani and Waikiki Parc. As Public Relations Manager, Bise will plan and direct all traditional, digital, and social media communications strategies. Her prior experience as Sales Manager is a key asset for this position in understanding the key differentiators of each hotel to raise awareness for. With their extensive skills and experience in sales and marketing communications, Halekulani Corporation welcomes Mr. Oneha and Ms. Bise in their new roles effective immediately.

Robert Oneha has been appointed as Sales Manager at Halekulani and Waikiki Parc

Robert Oneha’s responsibilities will include the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to increase sales for existing and new accounts, conducting educational tours for international travel agents and local corporate clients and growing Australian, Canadian, European and local sales relationships. Prior to joining Halekulani and Waikiki Parc, Robert Oneha held the positions of Senior Account Manager and Key Account Manager while opening the permanent Honolulu office for e-commerce travel company Booking.com. Oneha has also held the positions of Director of Westbound Sales at Roberts Hawaii and Hawaii Market Manager at Expedia, Inc.

Noel K.M. Marquardsen has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Turtle Bay Resort

Noel Marquardsen was previously human resources manager for HawkTree, Inc., a diversified holding company and leader in transportation services in Honolulu. Prior to this she served as area human resources manager for Securitas Security Services, Inc., the largest security services provider in the US and the state of Hawaii, also located in Honolulu.

Bryan Ashlock has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Turtle Bay Resort

Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has appointed Bryan Ashlock hotel manager for Turtle Bay Resort, the landmark property on Oahu’s North Shore. Danna Holck, vice president and general manager, made the announcement. Bryan Ashlock was most recently director of food & beverage and executive chef for the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa. He has previously served as executive chef for several Sheraton properties in Hawaii. Mr. Ashlock has also held the title of executive sous chef for luxury properties within Hawaii, Japan and Hong Kong.

Frank Lonardo has been appointed as Director of Sales at Turtle Bay Resort

Frank Lonardo most recently served as hotel sales task force manager for multiple luxury properties in markets on the east and west coasts of the US Mainland, including Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club in Redondo Beach, California; The Woodmark Resort, Spa and Yacht Club in Kirkland, Washington; The Madison Hotel in Washington, DC; and Stowe Mountain Resort and Spa in Vermont.

Danna Holck has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager at Turtle Bay Resort

Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the promotion of Danna Holck to vice president and general manager for Turtle Bay Resort, the legendary property on Oahu’s North Shore. Greg Champion, Benchmark’s chief operating officer, made the announcement.Danna Holck was previously general manager at Turtle Bay Resort. Her appointment to this position last year marked her return to her native Oahu. Prior to joining Benchmark Hospitality International, Ms. Holck served as general manager for Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. She has previously held general manager and executive-level positions at major resorts throughout the United States.

Paul Toner has been named General Manager at JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina

Marriott International, Inc. has announced the appointment of Paul Toner as general manager of the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina on Oahu. Toner assumed his new post January 14, succeeding Dan Banchiu who is retiring after 32 years with the company. Most recently Toner was senior vice president and chief operating officer of RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality, which he joined in 2008 following many years as a senior executive with Marriott International in the Hawaiian Islands.

Cindy Gagle has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Turtle Bay Resort

Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Cindy Gagle as director of sales and marketing for Turtle Bay Resort, located on the North Shore of Oahu. Danna Holck, Benchmark’s general manager at the resort, made the announcement. Cindy Gagle was previously regional director of sales and marketing (Hawaii) for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, responsible for the Kea Lani Resort Hotel on Maui and the Orchid Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii. Ms. Gagle has served in sales leadership positions for hotels and resorts in Bermuda, California, Arizona and Hawaii. Earlier in her career she owned and operated a successful restaurant and lounge in Tempe, Arizona. Cindy Gagle is a graduate of Arizona State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition degree. She is the recipient of numerous sales awards for excellence and performance achievement. Ms. Gagle is relocating to Oahu

Danna Holck has been appointed as General Manager at the Turtle Bay Resort

Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Danna Holck as general manager for Turtle Bay Resort, the landmark property located on Oahu’s legendary North Shore. Greg Champion, Benchmark’s chief operating officer, made the announcement. A native of Hawaii, Danna Holck returns to Oahu after two decades on the mainland and in Puerto Rico, serving most recently as general manager for Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa in Rio Grande. Ms. Holck has held numerous general manager and executive-level positions at major brand properties in resort destinations throughout the United States. She began her career in hospitality sales and marketing at hotels in California, Hawaii and Florida. Danna Holck, who is of Hawaiian, Japanese and Norwegian descent, was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii, on Oahu. Ms. Holck grew up in a military family -- her father was a soldier with the U.S. military's most highly decorated unit, the 442nd Infantry. She embraced the traditional values of her native Hawaii, including dancing the hula from age 5 and dreaming of becoming a professional hula dancer. Ms. Holck, who is trained in judo and jujitsu, attended the University of Hawaii, School of Travel Industry Management. She is relocating to Kahuku.
