Onanong Keawngamdee has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Dusit Thani Pattaya

Dusit Thani Pattaya GM Neoh Kean Boon recently appointed Onanong Keawngamdee as the new director of sales and marketing of the Thai brand resort under the wing of the ever expanding Dusit Hotels & Resorts. Onanong started her career in hospitality at Dusit Thani Bangkok where in a span of six years, she worked in guest relations, banquet, catering and sales. She was also part of the pre-opening team for Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit and her more than 20 years of sales related experience were gained from working for Shangri-la Hotel Bangkok, Conrad Bangkok, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, Crystal Design Centre and JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok. Prior to her new role, she was the director of sales and marketing of the Swissotel Le Concorde Bangkok. Her strengths include creating strategies to match the market trend as well as analyzing market intelligence in order to understand competitors standing and maximize revenue from all available business opportunities at hand.

ONYX Hospitality Group to invest USD100 million in OZO Pattaya

ONYX Hospitality Group, one of the region"s leading hotel management companies, has announced plans to open a new 406-room OZO hotel on a site adjacent to the existing Ocean Tower of Amari Pattaya. As part of a USD100 million investment to redevelop the iconic North Pattaya site, the Group will also launch a new premium all-suites Amari wing on the location where the Garden Wing of Amari Pattaya once stood. In addition, the 20-storey Amari Pattaya Ocean Tower and surrounding facilities will undergo an extensive refurbishment programme.

Neoh Kean Boon has been promoted to General Manager at Dusit Thani Pattaya

A year after he was appointed to lead Dusit Princess Srinakarin Bangkok as Hotel Manager, Neoh Kean Boon comes back to Dusit Thani Pattaya to take up Dusit International’s promotion as the new General Manager of the five-star hotel succeeding Chatchawal Supachayanont who took the helm for 24 years. Boon held the position of Resident Manager in Pattaya for three years before he moved to Bangkok in 2015 for the Hotel Manager assignment. A Malaysian national, Boon brings with him 30 years of extensive experience in the hospitality business. During the early years of his career, he worked closer to home with hotels and resorts in Penang and Langkawi and then to Myanmar. Prior to joining Dusit, Boon was Director of Food & Beverage at the Equatorial in Penang and Executive Assistant Manager at Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort and Spa Langkawi. He was also a member of the Malaysian Food and Beverage Executive Association and served as President of the Penang Chapter. He speaks fluent English, Bahasa Malaysia and Hokkien.

An Australian by nationality, most recently John was Director of Food & Beverage at Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa. Prior to that, he was Executive Assistant Manager at Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers Bangkok, Director of Food & Beverage at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok and Executive Chef at Sheraton Hotels in Sydney and Perth. John is passionate for hospitality, talent in cuisine, as well as exceptional service delivery. His love of spans all styles, from Nick Cave to early Pink Floyd and to the most recent Deep House to name just a few Artists.
