Boon held the position of Resident Manager in Pattaya for three years before he moved to Bangkok in 2015 for the Hotel Manager assignment. A Malaysian national, Boon brings with him 30 years of extensive experience in the hospitality business. During the early years of his career, he worked closer to home with hotels and resorts in Penang and Langkawi and then to Myanmar. Prior to joining Dusit, Boon was Director of Food & Beverage at the Equatorial in Penang and Executive Assistant Manager at Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort and Spa Langkawi. He was also a member of the Malaysian Food and Beverage Executive Association and served as President of the Penang Chapter. He speaks fluent English, Bahasa Malaysia and Hokkien.
