Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Hon Thom Island is Anticipated to Open in 2028

Anticipated to open in 2028 and slated to be designed by Bill Bensley, the new Ritz-Carlton Reserve is set to offer a complete escape and immerse visitors in a private world of luxury and natural beauty. Located on an intimate estate close to the south tip of Hon Thom Island, with stunning sea views of Phu Quoc's southern archipelago, the resort expects to offer a curated collection of 40 pool villas. Plans also include two resort pools, a spa, salon, fitness center, three restaurants, three bars and Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ambassadors of the Environment educational program for kids, which will feature a two-story activity center and garden. The resort is also slated to feature a 300-square meter event space suitable for beach front weddings. This resort is also owned by Sun Group.

The Luxury Collection Resort, Hon Thom Island is Slated to Open in 2029

Owned by Sun Group, the resort on Hon Thom Island will be part of The Luxury Collection brand and is slated to open in 2029. Located on the northwest coast of Hon Thom Island, this luxury resort expects to feature 305 rooms and suites, ranging from 50 to 250 square meters and includes family accommodations. Plans call for two pool areas, a kids' club, activity center, fitness center and a spa with seven treatment rooms, whirlpools, saunas and steam rooms. Six restaurants and bars will offer diverse dining options, and 1,690 square meters of flexible event space includes a 900-square meter ballroom and three smaller function rooms. Sun Group also owns the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa.

Regent Phu Quoc Set for Spring 2022 Opening in Vietnam

IHG Hotels & Resorts will launch the first resort from its upper-luxury brand, Regent Hotels & Resorts in Spring 2022 in Southeast Asia. Hyatt Announces Plan For Park Hyatt Hotel And Residences In Phu Quoc, Vietnam

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into an agreement with an affiliate of BIM Group to develop a 110-key Park Hyatt Phu Quoc hotel as well as 65 residences. Slated to open in 2022, Park Hyatt Phu Quoc will offer discerning travelers a sophisticated resort destination surrounded by pristine nature. Park Hyatt Phu Quoc will join the award-winning Park Hyatt Saigon and is the luxury brand's first resort in Vietnam.

Myla Caceres has been appointed as Director of Commercial at Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc

Myla Caceres has been appointed as Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc's director of commercial. In her new role, Caceres will oversee sales, marketing, reservations and revenue at the soon-to-open resort on Phu Quoc's north-west coast. A seasoned hospitality professional with over 25 years of experience, Caceres worked as Ascott International Group's cluster director of sales and marketing in Thailand, overseeing 11 properties. The Filipina has also held director of sales and marketing roles at several hotels in Thailand, including the Dusit Thani and the Crowne Plaza in Bangkok, as well as two upscale resorts in Vietnam, including a Swiss-Belhotel.

Prakash Ganesan has been appointed as EAM at Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc

Ganesan comes to the 514-room resort after seven years in Vietnam, where he worked most recently as the director of food and beverage at the Pullman Vung Tau Hotel and Convention Centre. He previously worked as director of operations at Odyssea Hospitality Management, with responsibilities for Liberty Central Hotels & Resorts, as well as the Novotel Danang Premier Han River and Premier Village Danang Resort.
