Karem Khater has been appointed as Executive Chef at Marriott Port-au-Prince

The Marriott Port-au-Prince, the premier address for business and leisure hospitality in Haiti’s capital as well as the country’s newest hotel, announces the appointment of Chef Karem Khater as its new Executive Chef. A native of Egypt with more than 14 years of experience in the culinary arts, Chef Khater served as the Executive Sous Chef at the five-star, 520-room Sharm El Sheikh Marriott Red Sea Resort immediately prior to joining The Marriott Port-au-Prince family.

Ellen L. Wouters has been appointed as General Manager at Marriott Port-au-Prince Hotel

The 175-room Marriott Port-au-Prince, the premier address for business and leisure hospitality in Haiti’s capital as well as the country’s newest hotel, has named Ellen L. Wouters as its new General Manager. In this capacity, Ms. Wouters holds ultimate responsibility for the full scope of hotel operations and financial performance, while also stewarding the property’s dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility program.

Stephanie Barnes has been appointed as Director of Sales at Marriott Port-au-Prince

The 175-room Marriott Port-au-Prince, the premier address for business and leisure hospitality in Haiti’s capital as well as the country’s newest hotel, has named Stephanie Barnes as its new Director of Sales. Mrs. Barnes oversees all Marriott Port-au-Prince sales and marketing initiatives, including advertising, public relations, and social media, while also directing the hotel’s comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility program.

Elsa Sammartano has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Marriott Port-au-Prince Hotel

Sammartano joined the Marriott Port-au-Prince Hotel team most recently by way of the Marriott Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Hotel and Courtyard Paris St. Denis Hotel where she also served as DOSM. "When I was offered this position at the Marriott Port-au-Prince I knew it was going to be special but I had no idea just how meaningful it would be." Said Sammartano. "The people of Haiti have touched my heart and I look forward to working towards a brighter future for this country."
