Citadines Rochor Singapore to open in Singapore Ophir-Rochor Corridor

Citadines Rochor Singapore is part of an upcoming integrated development that will also comprise a retail podium. Ascott has been awarded the contract to manage the serviced residence by property and construction group Lum Chang Holdings and a fund managed by real estate investment firm LaSalle Investment Management Asia, that will jointly build the integrated development on the site of the former The Verge mall. With its location close to three MRT stations, and proximity to famous shopping street Orchard Road and Little India enclave, Citadines Rochor Singapore is primed to cater to the strong demand from business and leisure travellers when it opens in 2020. At the doorstep of Citadines Rochor Singapore is the Rochor MRT station that sits on the Downtown Line, Singapore"s longest underground MRT line which will facilitate direct travel from the north-western and eastern areas of the island to the Central Business District and Marina Bay areas. The serviced residence is also within walking distance from Jalan Besar and Little India MRT stations, providing easy access to the rest of the city. About 80% of the 320 units at Citadines Rochor Singapore are studio apartments, while the remaining are one-bedroom and loft apartments. To be redeveloped on the site of the former Golden Shoe Car Park by a joint venture formed by CapitaLand, CapitaLand Commercial Trust and Mitsubishi Estate Co. Ltd, the premium integrated development will offer a work-live-play destination, and is slated for completion in the first half of 2021. Located near Raffles Place Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station and surrounded by premium office buildings, the serviced residence will appeal to professionals working in the financial district. Marisa Ng has been appointed as Director of Sales at The St. Regis Singapore

Marcus Hanna has been appointed as General Manager at Raffles City (RC) Hotel complex

Marcus moves over from the Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay, where he has been the General Manager since 2015. Marcus has been with AccorHotels for 13 years and brings with him a wealth of experience, having held various management positions, initially at Sofitel Melbourne, then as the opening General Manager at Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park; this was later followed by General Manager assignments at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach and Sofitel Brisbane Central. He was also Project Manager for AccorHotels’ management of the Qantas First Class Lounges.

Christian Westbeld has been appointed as General Manager at Raffles Hotel Singapore

Raffles Hotel Singapore is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Westbeld as its General Manager, effective from 1 October 2017. CWChristian brings with him nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry spanning Germany, Bangkok, Manila, Dubai, Singapore, Beijing and more. His journey as a hotelier started at the front office of one of the top hotels in Germany and saw him rise through the ranks in Food & Beverage operations across the globe from The Peninsula in Manila to The Fairmont in Dubai and subsequently, being part of the pre-opening team in Raffles Dubai. Christian is no stranger to Raffles Hotel Singapore, having served as its Executive Assistant Manager from July 2009 to February 2011 before moving on to Raffles Beijing as Resident Manager. He returned to Raffles Hotel Singapore in June 2013 as Hotel Manager until August 2015, where he continued to deliver outstanding results. Most recently, Christian was based in Macau with MGM China Ltd, where he led the Hospitality Operation at MGM Macao and was part of the pre-opening team for MGM Cotai. In his new role as General Manager of Raffles Hotel Singapore, Christian will oversee the hotel through its careful and sensitive restoration and into its highly anticipated grand reopening in the middle of 2018.Christian graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maine at Augusta, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Management. He also holds a Diplom-Kaufmann FH from the University of Applied Studies and Research Wernigerode in International Business Studies, Economics.
