Russel joins with a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. His most recent post was General Manager at Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa in the Dead Sea – Jordan; and his earlier post was General Manager at Tudor Park Country Club Marriott in England - United Kingdom.
Bernard Mercier has been appointed as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay
Joining with extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Mercier, a Swiss national, most recently served as the general manager of the Grand Hotel Djibloho Kempinski in Equatorial Guinea. Throughout his career he has held various posts, and has served as cluster general manager of Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi in Kenya as well as general manager of Kempinski Hotel Sanya Haitang Bay. A Kempinski veteran, Mercier has worked across five continents. He kicked off his career with Intercontinental Hotels Group, moving from F&B director to resident manager and then into his inaugural general manager post in Hong Kong.
