InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), one of the world's leading hotel companies, has announced the signing of Holiday Inn® St Petersburg – Proletarskaya, which will become the second hotel under the Holiday Inn brand in St Petersburg. The hotel will operate under a management agreement with PKF Piramida-D LLC.
Salvatore Barbara, disciple of renowned French nouvelle cuisine chef Paul Bocuse, has been appointed as executive chef at Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg. A Sicilian native, Salvatore’s impressive culinary career spans over two decades, several internationally-renowned hotel groups and fourteen countries.
Mr Held takes over from Walter C. Neumann, who after a successful three years at the hotel will move to Moscow to assume his new role as CEO of Azimut Hotels.

As InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) today celebrated the InterContinental brand's return to Russia with an opening ceremony at the InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya, the company also signed a second InterContinental hotel in Russia.
