Jonathan Reynolds has been appointed as General Manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya

Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya announces the appointment of Mr. Jonathan Reynolds to the position of General Manager. Prior to his new post, Mr. Reynolds was the General Manager of Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu.Mr. Reynolds graduated from Gloucester University with an honours degree in hotel management. He started his hospitality career in 1993 at Claridge’s as a post-graduate management trainee in London. In the following five years, he was Reception Manager before becoming an Assistant Manager of food and beverage at The Ritz in London.

Kurniawan Hari Wibowo has been appointed as Hotel Manager at POP! Hotel Stasiun Kota Surabaya

TAUZIA Hotel Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Kurniawan Hari Wibowo as the new Hotel Manager of POP! Hotel Stasiun Kota Surabaya. The hotel features 160 comfortable guestrooms & five mid-sized meeting rooms (two of those can be extended into one spacious meeting space). POP! Hotel Stasiun Kota is also strategically located – only 2 minutes away from Pasar Atom shopping center, 5 minutes from Kota Train Station, 7 minutes from Undaan Surabaya Hospital & 10 minutes from governmental district area, the city harbor, Perak Highway & the famous Pahlawan Statue. Wibowo first joined TAUZIA Hotel Management in 2011 as Banquet Manager for Solo Paragon Hotel & Residences, before he took on the role as Assistant Hotel Manager for POP! Hotel Teuku Umar Bali in 2015.

Simon Soo has been named Resident Manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya

Simon brings his extensive experience in hotel operations to Surabaya after exploring the Asian continent, including such cities as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Dubai, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Manila, Ningbo and, lastly, Fuzhou. Prior to his assignment in Surabaya, he was with Shangri-La Fuzhou, China for two years. Simon, a Malaysian-born Chinese, has been with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts since 1989, when he started as a front office manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Throughout his career with the group, he has been involved in several hotel opening projects and has successfully delivered every time. A Malaysian who speaks fluent English, Malay and Mandarin with Cantonese and Fujian dialects, Simon enjoys travelling and sports on his leisure time.
