Nelson Arlos has been appointed as Associate Director of Sales at Halekulani

Halekulani, Oahu's acclaimed luxury resort, is delighted to announce a reorganization of its sales team, to include Nelson Arlos as Associate Director of Sales for all other Halekulani markets, effective immediately. Previously the Senior Sales Manager of U.S. East Coast markets for Halekulani and its sister property Waikiki Parc, Mr. Arlos will now serve as Associate Director of Sales exclusively for Halekulani, while maintaining his accounts in the U.S. East Coast and Eastern Canada markets. Mr. Arlos has more than 34 years of experience with Halekulani, beginning his career in the hotel's front office before becoming Concierge and now a key leader in the sales department.

Kazuki Takaoka has been appointed as Associate Director of Sales & Marketing for the Asia market at Halekulani

Halekulani, Oahu's acclaimed luxury resort, is delighted to announce a reorganization of its sales team, to include Mr. Kazuki Takaoka as Associate Director of Sales & Marketing for the Asia market. Mr. Takaoka previously served as the Senior Sales Manager for Asia at Halekulani and Waikiki Parc and is now Associate Director of Sales & Marketing for Asia exclusively at Halekulani. Mr. Takaoka will be responsible for leading the focused development and implementation of targeted sales and marketing strategies for the Asia market.

Geoff Pearson has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Halekulani

Halekulani, Oahu's acclaimed luxury resort, is delighted to announce a reorganization of its sales team, to include Mr. Geoff Pearson as Director of Sales & Marketing for all domestic and international markets. Prior to his expanded role, Mr. Pearson was the Director of Sales & Marketing at Halekulani for the U.S. and international markets outside of Asia; he will once again oversee all markets. Mr. Pearson brings years of luxury hospitality experience at Halekulani and expert knowledge of international sales strategies in all markets to his new position.

Henry Perez has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio

Henry Perez is the new general manager of Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio. He leads a team of more than 300 in continuing the hotel’s reputation for outstanding guest service and value. In 2016, Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio ranked number one in highest satisfaction and loyalty tracking scores within Hilton Worldwide Americas for hotels with more than 500 rooms. Known for being an enthusiastic, approachable and very hands-on type of leader, Perez is a respected leader in Hawaii’s hospitality industry. He served as director of operations to 16 hotels for Aqua Hotels and Resorts, and general manager for Marriott Courtyard Waikiki, Hilton Grand Vacations at Hilton Hawaiian Village, Aqua Palms, and Embassy Suites Resort.

Karen Villarmia has been appointed as assistant general manager at Wyndham at Waikiki Beach Walk®

For the past 10 years, Villarmia has been the general manager of the OHANA Waikiki West, and before that she held various management positions at the OHANA Waikiki Surf, OHANA Waikiki Surf East, OHANA Waikiki Malia and OHANA Maile Sky Court. She began her Outrigger career 27 years ago in the Wyndham at Waikiki Beach Walk® location, then the Outrigger Reef Towers, as front desk clerk/cashier. She said returning to begin a new chapter in her career is very exciting, and she is looking forward to joining the Wyndham ‘ohana.

Niel Mason has been appointed as General Manager at OHANA Waikiki East Hotel

Mason moves to Hawaii from Australia, where he was most recently general manager of the Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort & Spa, Noosa. Mason’s tenure with Outrigger has also included general manager positions at the former Outrigger Coolangatta Beach Resort and at Outrigger Twin Towns Resort. Prior to Outrigger, Mason held general manager positions at Sands Turtle Beach Resort in Mermaid Beach; for the Mantra Group; and for Rydges Hotels and Resorts’ Eaglehawk in Canberra. He also held management positions at Duxton Hotel in Melbourne; Broadwater Beach Resort in Bussleton; Rendezvous Observation City in Perth; The Beaufort Darwin; and Hyatt Regency Adelaide and Ramada Grand Glenelg. Heavily involved in the community, Mason is treasurer for Tourism Noosa, Ltd., and was on the board of directors for Destination Tweed, Inc. He’s also served on The Queensland Tourism Industry Council and the Hastings Street Association, in addition to partnering with several community organizations. Simeon Miranda has been named General Manager at Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort

Outrigger® Enterprises Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Simeon Miranda as general manager of the Outrigger-managed Holiday Inn® Waikiki Beachcomber Resort. In his position, Miranda is responsible for overseeing the resort’s day-to-day operations and staff management, as well as planning, organizing and directing all hotel services and ensuring a balance between customer satisfaction, effective business management and financial viability for the property.

Dean Nakasone has been appointed as General Manager at Outrigger Reef on the Beach

Nakasone has an extensive background in hotel management with Outrigger Hotels and Resorts. He joins the Outrigger Reef on the Beach from his most recent position as general manager of the Holiday Inn® Waikiki Beachcomber Resort, an Outrigger-managed property. During his time there, Nakasone transitioned the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel to the OHANA® Hotels and Resorts brand in 2005 and then to the Holiday Inn® brand in 2010.

David Martinez has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach

An enthusiastic hospitality professional with 14 years of Hyatt experience, Martinez brings to the resort a strong knowledge of global and leisure travel markets and a long history of sales and marketing successes in the hospitality industry. Martinez most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt Regency Jersey City.A graduate of New Mexico State University, Martinez began his career at Hyatt as a Corporate Management Trainee, gradually rising through the ranks over the years, serving in Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, and most recently Hyatt Regency Jersey City. An accomplished hospitality professional with experience in all aspects of sales and marketing, Martinez's career with Hyatt has seen numerous highlights including establishing the highest annual occupancy for Hyatt on the North American mainland in 2012, training some of Hyatt's most productive sales managers, and serving as Corporate Director of Transient Sales.

Pam Yagi has been named General Manager at Hokulani Waikiki by Hilton Grand Vacations Club

Excitement continues to build around the opening of Hokulani Waikiki by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, an upscale timeshare resort in the heart of Waikiki and the final phase of the Outrigger-led redevelopment project of Waikiki Beach Walk®. Outrigger Enterprises Group, which has been contracted by Hilton Grand Vacations to provide comprehensive onsite property management services for the new resort, is pleased to announce the appointment of Pam Yagi as general manager. Yagi will oversee all pre-opening activities as well as ongoing operations of the outstanding 14-story resort, which is scheduled to open its doors in late 2013.
