Bertrand Mangeot has been appointed as General Manager at Kimpton Saint George

Born and raised in France, Mangeot brings an extensive background in hospitality. He began his career in Luxembourg at KPMG before returning to France to work for Karibea Hotels, assisting the Chief Financial Officer. From there, Mangeot moved to New Y ork City, where he held multiple positions at InterContinental Barclay. Here, Bertrand’s skills established him in the InterContinental family, enabling him to move to the InterContinental Hotel Cleveland, where he held various senior titles over the span of seven years. He then joined the InterContinental Toronto Centre, where he continued to successfully lead and manage multi-million dollar projects.

Maria Chung has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Kimpton Saint George

Born in Hong Kong, Chung moved to Toronto in pursuit of fulfilling her lifelong ambition to work in the hospitality industry. Her hotel career was launched in 1990, when she played an instrumental role in the opening of InterContinental Toronto Yorkville, where she spent 10 years. Subsequently, she worked in various senior sales and marketing positions for InterContinental Toronto Centre, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts U.S. and Caribbean and the Westin Prince Toronto. Next, Chung helped to introduce the Thompson Hotels brand to Canada joining the Thompson Toronto team. T hereafter, she held various managerial positions at the Toronto Congress Centre before moving to the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, where she was responsible for sales and marketing.

Jens Moesker has been appointed as Regional Vice President & General Manager at Fairmont Pacific Rim

Jens Moesker has been appointed Regional Vice President, Pacific Northwest and General Manager of Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, BC. Jens joins Fairmont Hotels’ from his most recent position as Area Manager and General Manager of the Shangri-La Hotel Toronto where he oversaw the North American properties. Internationally raised and born into a family of hoteliers, Jens began his hospitality career in 1990 when he held a series of progressive Food and Beverage management roles in Europe, Middle East and the United States, including the acclaimed Hilton Jerusalem in Israel, InterContinental hotels in London and Germany, the Hotel Bristol Forte in Warsaw and the Jebel Ali Hotel in Dubai. In 2000 he joined Shangri-La as director of food and beverage at The Kerry Centre Hotel in Beijing and shortly after became resident manager at Shangri-La Hotel Changchun.

Julie Holmen has been appointed as Sales Leader for Canada, International Markets at Meeting Professionals International (MPI)

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has selected Julie Holmen to serve as Director of Business Development covering Canada, Europe and Asia, effective December 4, 2017. Based in Toronto, Holmen will be responsible for revenue generation and management of strategic partnerships for the association and the MPI Foundation within her assigned markets, and reports to Evan Casey, MPI’s Vice President of Global Sales.
