Shane joins The Sheraton Centre from The Marriott Marquis in Doha, Qatar where he has been the Director of Food and Beverage since October 2012. During his time in Qatar he was responsible for the entire Food and Beverage Operation that included Culinary, Events and 11 of Qatar's top performing Restaurants and Bars, having all been nominated for over 75 culinary and service awards under his leadership. Shane brings a vast amount of operations experience in all disciplines to the team; he has held many senior roles globally spanning over 15 years. He has worked on 3 Continents during his time in hospitality that include Europe, The Middle East and North America.

Data consumption is expected to double by 2020, and JD Power and hotels.com surveys from 2013 to 2015 report that higher performance Wi-Fi is noted as the most-desired amenity at a hotel. In fact, guest satisfaction drops 6.5 per cent when asked to pay for basic Wi-Fi, while 80 per cent of guests said they won't return after a bad technology experience.
The Trump International Hotel and Tower Toronto will be rebranded as a St. Regis. The hotel's owner bought out Trump Hotels' management contract and sold the 261-room hotel this week. InnVest Hotels LP bought the 65-story property from JCF Capital for an undisclosed and will temporarily rebrand the property as the Adelaide Hotel Toronto while the property undergoes a renovation. Once the upgrades are completed, the property will be renamed the St. Regis Toronto.
