Muir, Autograph Collection, Set to Open in Nova Scotia

Marriott International Signs Agreement For First Autograph Collection Brand In Nova Scotia

Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR announced a deal to bring its Autograph Collection brand to Halifax, Nova Scotia with a 110-room hotel to be called MUIR, Autograph Collection. The property's developer, The Armour Group Limited, expects to open the hotel in Spring 2021 as part of Queen's Marque, a mixed-use project in the heart of Halifax that is poised to redefine the city's waterfront.

Located at 35 Shubie Drive, the Courtyard and Residence Inn Halifax Dartmouth hotels are owned in a partnership between Southwest Properties, JLK Global Fund International (JLK) and New Castle Hotels & Resorts, and operated by New Castle Hotels & Resorts of Shelton, Connecticut.

Matthew Mackenzie has been appointed as General Manager at Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa

Officials of New Castle Hotels and Resorts, a leading hotel owner, operator and developer, today announced that Matthew Mackenzie will return to the Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa in Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia, as general manager. Mackenzie managed the resort for the 2012 season. A career hotelier, Mackenzie was the general manager of the Atlantica Hotel & Marina Oak Island and has held positions at some of Canada’s most beloved resorts and hotels, including Sooke Harbour House and Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
