Andrew C. Rogers has been appointed as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing

Marriott International is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew C. Rogers as the multi-property vice president and general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing. Rogers will oversee The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing as well as a portfolio of luxury hotels for Marriott International in North China.Rogers joined Marriott International in 1990, and his career started with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company as the director of golf operations at The Ritz-Carlton Golf and Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica in 1999. Rogers held numerous senior management positions at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa, Jupiter, Florida, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas and The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. Rogers served for three years as the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Denver.While in the "Mile-High City," he garnered a reputation for tireless innovation in an already competitive market, leading the hotel to receive the AAA Five Diamond Award twice. It was the first hotel in Denver to earn the accolade, which designates the best lodgings and restaurants in North America. With his proven success, Rogers started his career journey in China as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou and The Ritz-Carlton Executive Residences Guangzhou in 2012. As a highly visible and well-respected business leader in the community, Rogers was elected the Executive Chairman for The Guangzhou Hotel Association, which represents over 300 hotels in Guangzhou. He has been recognized as The Best Foreign General Manager, China Hotel Golden Horse Award in 2013 and 2014. In addition, The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou was honored with a prestigious Forbes Five-Star Award by Forbes Travel Guide for the first time in Guangzhou. Prior to his appointment in Beijing Central Place, Rogers has been the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street, awarded Best General Manager by Hotelier Award 2015 and also the hotel received the Five-Star award twice while under his management.Rogers has more than 20 years of hotel management experience, and he is known for his expertise with hotel openings, leadership development and financial management. "I will continue to provide the finest personal service and create memorable Ritz-Carlton experiences, enhance the leading position in the market."Rogers is a US national, graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing from Ferris State University and obtained an EMBA degree with Carlson Business School at the University of Minnesota, Lingnan College of Sun Yat-Sen University. Rogers, as a former golf professional, enjoys playing golf, traveling the world and exploring different cultures with his family.
