Herbert Laubichler-Pichler has been appointed as General Manager at Raffles Hainan

Herbert Laubichler-Pichler has been appointed as General Manager of Raffles Hainan, China. Opening in Spring 2013, it is Raffles’ second hotel in China after Raffles Beijing Hotel. Herbert Laubichler-Pichler has an exceptional track record working within the luxury hotel industry in Asia. He moves to Raffles Hainan from Shangri-La Resort and Spa, Cebu in the Philippines where he served as its General Manager. Prior to this, he worked for Shangri-La, Kuala Lumpur where in 2011; the hotel won Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Award of the top Luxury Hotel in Malaysia. During his tenure in Kuala Lumpur, he was also a Board Member of the Malaysian Association of Hotels and Chairman of the Research and Development Committee of the Malaysian Association of Hotels.

Louis Young has been appointed as Director of Finance at New World Guiyang Hotel

Mr. Young brings more than 18 years’ finance experience with hotels in both Hong Kong and mainland China. Before joining New World Hotels, Mr. Young was financial controller – operation of Regal Poly Guiyang Hotel. He was also financial controller of various properties of Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts in Beijing and Xian for 10 years. Previously, he worked for Guangdong Regency Hotel in Zhuhai and Grand Excelsior Hotel in Kunming.

Leslie Lowe has been appointed as General Manager at New World Guiyang Hotel

Previously the resident manager of New World Shanghai Hotel, Mr. Lowe brings more than 30 years’ hospitality industry experience to New World Guiyang Hotel. Prior to joining New World Hotels, Mr. Lowe held various senior hotel positions, including project consultant of Days Inn China Hotel Group and general manager of Days Hotel Tongji Shanghai. He has worked across China, in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan. In addition, he served as director of catering for Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, Island Shangri-La Hong Kong and Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.

Arthur Ai has been appointed as General Manager at Pullman Shanghai Skyway

Accor Hospitality Group is pleased to appoint Mr. Arthur Ai as the General Manager of Pullman Shanghai Skyway. Mr. Ai will oversee all aspects of property management in accordance with hotel’s mission statement: operational management, yield management, sales and marketing, Human resources and guest satisfaction etc. Prior to this new post, Mr. Ai was the Acting General Manager of the Hotel. An Australian permanent resident holds a hotel management diploma, Arthur has over 20 years experience in the hospitality business, and he has previously worked with international hotel groups including Hilton, Royal Tulip, and Jinjiang in Shanghai.
