Romain Meiran has been appointed as General Manager at La Réserve Paris Hotel and Spa

This month, Romain Meiran was appointed General Manager of La Réserve Paris Hotel and Spa. Romain has over 25 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. Before joining La Réserve, Romain was General Manager of Cheval Blanc Courchevel for five years and most recently General Manager of Cheval Blanc Paris overseeing the operations of and preparation for the 2020 opening. Prior to that, he was the General Manager at Royal Mansour for three years and oversaw the opening of the property in Marrakech. Romain has experience at many Paris institutions including roles at Hôtel Le Meurice, Hôtel de Crillon, Hôtel Plaza Athénée and Ritz Paris.

Christel Cabanier has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Paris Charles de Gaulle

Christel did communication studies that allowed her to do an internship in a hotel in Antwerp, where she discovered her passion for the hotel industry. At the age of 25, she was the youngest Director of Europe as a woman. Subsequently, Christel held positions as director of hotels and independent hotels such as Park Plaza Hotels. In 2008, while Christel held the position of General Manager at the Bloom Hotel, it was voted by TripAdvisor as one of the hippest hotels in the world. In 2012, Christel was appointed District Director for Radisson (France, Belgium, The Netherlands), at which time she was responsible for 13 Park in by Radisson hotels. Christel helped create the concept for the Radisson RED Hotels, as well as the opening of the first Radisson RED Hotel. Christel is passionate about travel and cooking. She participated as a jury for 3 seasons at Mijn Restaurant (a Belgian show of the same concept as Master Chef). Before joining our teams, Christel was General Manager of the New York Hotel at Disneyland Paris.

Elise Masurel has joined Ecole Ducasse as Managing Director

Sommet Education, the leading hospitality management education group, became the majority shareholder of Ducasse Education alongside Ducasse Développement in June 2019.Following this agreement Benoît-Etienne Domenget, CEO of Sommet Education and President of Ducasse Education, together with Alain Ducasse, Founder of Ducasse Education and President of Ducasse Développement, have today announced their joint action plan to establish Ducasse Education as a global benchmark for culinary and pastry arts training.This shared ambition is reflected in the creation of a new brand, an enriched portfolio of programs, an exceptional new campus and the appointment.  The team will be led by Elise Masurel, who is joining École Ducasse as Managing Director. Her hospitality sector experience, customer journey and digital expertise, acquired at Club Med and Klépierre, combined with her international environment knowledge will enable the new École Ducasse brand to achieve its full potential.
