Melissa Lorenz has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Lorenz, a 27-year industry veteran, has worked in sales and marketing positions for renowned luxury properties, including the past nine years at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Overseeing all sales, marketing, advertising and public relations efforts, she joins the Bora Bora team from Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, where she served as opening Director of Marketing. She previously served in the same capacity at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago (A Four Seasons Hotel), and at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago as Director of Sales.

Boumediene Ouadjed has been appointed as General Manager at Le Méridien Bora Bora

Le Méridien Bora Bora has announced the appointment of Boumédiène Ouadjed as General Manager. A 15-year veteran of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Ouadjed was promoted to his new position following a successful two-year run as Assistant General Manager during which the resort added new features including an Ecological Center. As General Manager, Ouadjed now has responsibility for all resort operations including sales, marketing and guest services.

Franck Chantoiseau has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora has named industry veteran Franck Chantoiseau to the post of director of food and beverage, overseeing all culinary operations of the island resort. Chantoiseau makes the move to Bora Bora from Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre in Saudi Arabia. He has also worked within the company at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza. Prior to joining Four Seasons, Chantoiseau worked at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Beijing, the two-Michelin starred Sens & Bund restaurant in Shanghai and the Rydges Jamison Hotel in Sydney. He began his career in bar management throughout France and the Caribbean.

Christophe Chabaud has been appointed as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Chabaud, a 20-year industry veteran, has worked in management positions around the world, including the past 14 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. He makes the move to French Polynesia from Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, where he most recently served as director of food and beverage. Prior to that, he worked at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai and Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. His career with Four Seasons began at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Prior to joining Four Seasons, Chabaud worked in a variety of operational roles at the Hotel Ritz in Paris and Crowne Plaza Resort Hotel in Hilton Head. Chabaud holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Hotel Restaurant Management Associate Degree from Ecole Hoteliere de Paris, Jean Drouant in Paris. Born and raised in Montelimar, France, he speaks English, French, and Spanish. Christophe resides on Bora Bora with his wife Valerie and sons Mathieu and Lucas. He enjoys food and wine, adventure sports, technology and cinema.

Nicolas Boutin has been appointed as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Boutin, a 26-year industry veteran, has worked in hotels and restaurants around the world, and this is his first appointment with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. He makes the move to French Polynesia from Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, where he most recently served as executive chef. Prior to that, he served as executive chef of Mandarin Oriental Boston, as executive sous chef of Mandarin Oriental Landmark Hotel in Hong Kong, as chef de cuisine at La Varenne in Raffles Resort Canounan Island and as executive sous chef of Relais & Chateaux Hauterive St. James in Bordeaux, France. His early years were spent throughout Europe at Michelin-starred establishments such as Jean Bardet, Troisgros and Lameloise.

Rajiv Malhotra has been appointed as General Manager at the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Malhotra, a 22-year industry veteran, has worked in management positions around the world, including the past 10 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. He makes the move to French Polynesia from Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, where he most recently served as Hotel Manager during two separate appointments. Between his appointments in Las Vegas, Rajiv was with Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma in the Bahamas as Resort Manager. His career with Four Seasons began at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore, Santa Barbara.

Nicolas Orget has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager at Le Méridien Tahiti

Orget served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Le Méridien Tahiti and Le Méridien Bora Bora since 2007. Born in Bordeaux, France, Orget studied hospitality and became a member of the Le Méridien team in 1999, where he was Yield Manager for Le Méridien Nice and later, Director of Sales and Marketing for Le Méridien Copacabana. Orget and Gautier worked together while at Le Méridien Nice.

Vincent Guerin has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Le Méridien Tahiti and Le Méridien Bora Bora

Vincent joins Le Méridien Tahiti and Bora Bora from The Westin Resort/The Ramanos, a Starwood Luxury Collection Resort in Costa Navarino, Greece, where he spent the past two years as Complex Director of Sales & Marketing. Previously, he was Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Starwood in French Polynesia, overseeing sales and marketing efforts for four properties including Sheraton Tahiti, Sheraton Moorea and St. Regis Bora Bora. Prior to that, Vincent headed up sales and marketing efforts in Morocco and France.

Construction Begins On The Brando | Luxury Eco-Resort Slated to Open in 2011 on Marlon Brando's Private Island, Tetiaroa

Located on the French Polynesian atoll of Tetiaroa and a product of the late Marlon Brando's vision, construction on The Brando has officially begun with completion slated for late 2011. Construction of the luxury eco-resort has commenced with the official authorization from the Tahitian government after several years of studying the impact of construction on the environment. The Brando will feature: 47 deluxe bungalow villas (each with private plunge pools), a spa, fitness center, community pool, as well as various island activities including scuba diving and archaeological tours of royal Tahitian sites.
