Plateno Group announces two new projects in Germany

Chinese company Plateno Group, through its European subsidiary based in Berlin, is opening its first hotel in Bavaria, in Munich. Located in Sendling, only twelve minutes from the city centre, within walking distance to Mittersendling Munich S-Bahn railway station, 7 Days Premium Hotel is scheduled to welcome its first guests in Q4 2017.

Opening of the Leonardo Hotel Munich City South

Right on time for the start of the Oktoberfest, Leonardo Hotels will open what is now its ninth hotel in Munich. After 18 months of intensive construction, the new Leonardo Hotel Munich City South has now been completed, displaying an impressive further development of the Leonardo design concept. The hotel reception area is flooded with light, gener-ously proportioned and transparent, while glass fronts throughout cause the building and the sur-rounding area to blend in with each other. The open lobby with direct access to the bar and restau-rant invites guests to make themselves comfortable right from the start. Warm, glowing pastel tones and a tailor-made lighting concept with RGB light provide strong accents. Local flair and the particular reference to the destination are presented with original motifs from Bavaria, the Alpine region and the traditional Oktoberfest – a real feast for the eyes. The concept is also extended to the stylish interior furnishings in the 159 comfort and superior rooms. One special feature of the hotel is the 247m2 conference area with an adjoining roof terrace as the ideal space for taking a relaxing break. Three light conference rooms with space for up to 150 guests are ideally equipped for events of all kinds. Other attractive features are a 24h reception service, Business Center, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel premises and underground parking. Jacolien Benes, who until now has been the highly successful manager of the Leonardo Hotel Munich City Olympiapark, will take on the role of General Manager for this hotel.As Daniel Roger, Managing Director Europe, explains: "Munich is an important location for us. We welcome the incredible number of bookings we have already received before the official opening. This underscores our plan to add more hotels to our Munich operation. The Leonardo Hotel Munich City South will not be our last hotel. Already next year, two more hotels are due to open in the city, which will significantly strengthen our presence on site. Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts announces new hotel at Stuttgart airport

Building on the success of the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport & Messe, Swiss company Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has signed a contract for another hotel located just 150 metres from the existing building. Third Novum Hotel In Stuttgart

Stuttgart is getting a designer business hotel: A NOVUM Style Hotel with more than 200 rooms is being created at the Pragsattel. Construction will commence in mid-2017, and the hotel is scheduled to open in 2019. The hotel will be part of a high-rise with twelve floors. The project development is done by a joint venture between AVONIA Real Estate GmbH (Leinfelden-Echterdingen), Merkur Development Holding GmbH (Rüsselsheim) and OSWA Planen und Bauen GmbH (Ingersheim).

Commerz Real Acquires Another Hotel Development In Frankfurt Am Main For Hausinvest

Commerz Real has acquired another future "NOVUM Style" hotel complex in Frankfurt am Main for their public real estate fund hausInvest. After the previously acquired building project near the central station, the new property is at the Mayfarthstraße in Ostend, in close proximity to the European Central Bank (ECB). "The district has developed into a great area after the arrival of 2,500 ECB employees and will experience a significant appreciation within the next years", explains Robert Bambach, Chairman of Real Estate Transactions at Commerz Real. Even at this stage, there are already more than 1,400 companies and institutions settled in the area.

MEININGER to open Leipzig Hotel in 2017

MEININGER Hotels will open a hotel in close proximity to Leipzig's main station at the beginning of 2017. The former ibis Hotel from the Accor Group will be converted in accordance with MEININGER standards and will ultimately have 404 beds available in 126 rooms.
