Davide Bertilaccio has been appointed as Managing Director at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco

Davide Bertilaccio has been appointed managing director of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, the historic Tuscan resort founded by Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo. In this role, Bertilaccio will oversee all aspects of the resort, including the two on-property restaurants and spa. Boasting over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Bertilaccio brings a wealth of expertise to his new position. Prior to joining Rosewood, Bertilaccio served as Area General Manager of FRHI Hotels & Resorts, overseeing the company’s three Kenyan properties, including the Fairmont Norfolk Hotel in Nairobi where he was also General Manager. Additionally, he has held prominent positions at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and the Alain Ducasse Group, and served as General Manager of Dubai’s Armani Hotel and the Hotel Savoy in Florence, a Rocco Forte Hotel.

Emanuele Manfroi has been appointed as General Manager at Belmond Villa San Michele

Belmond has appointed Emanuele Manfroi as General Manager of Belmond Villa San Michele in Florence, Italy with immediate effect. Italian born Manfroi graduated with a BA in Business Administration followed by a Masters in International Tourism Management. Prior to joining Belmond in 2012 Manfroi built his career in hospitality within in luxury hotels around the world including the Park Hyatt Milano, Park Hyatt Sydney, and Four Seasons Milan as well as pursuing his passion for culinary excellence. Previously Hotel Manager at sister hotel, Belmond Hotel Cipriani in Venice Manfroi takes up the new role ahead of the new season opening on 8 April 2016.

Giancarlo Rizzi has been appointed as General Manager at Hotel Savoy

Rocco Forte Hotels announces the appointment of Giancarlo Rizzi as General Manager of Hotel Savoy, located in the heart of Florence. Mr. Rizzi takes over from Edward Leenders, who was with the hotel for over 4 years and has relocated to Hotel Amigo, the Rocco Forte Hotel in Brussels. His experience spans a career in luxury hotels across Italy and Europe. Previous positions include roles at Four Seasons George V, The Ritz and Le Royal Monceau in Paris, to mention only a few. Most recently he was Hotel Manager at Villa La Massa in Florence and Resident Manager at Villa D’Este in Lake Como and at The Bauer’s in Venice.

Marco Truffelli has been appointed as General Manager at Verdura Resort, a Rocco Forte Hotel

With a solid track record of 28 years in luxury hospitality, Truffelli is a result based professional with both creative and strategic thinking and vision. He is a graduate of Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and he holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Business School. A passionate and effective team developer and shaper Truffelli started his career with Trust House Forte at the Hyde Park Hotel in London, he later worked at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic and was the MD of The Town House Collection in Scotland before starting an international hospitality management, consultancy and advisory company. From 2014, Marco was General Manager of Borgo Egnazia, in Puglia.
