Peter Bowling has been appointed as Managing Director at One&Only Palmilla

Kerzner International is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Bowling as Managing Director for One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. In his new role, Bowling will be responsible for the overall operations of the iconic resort, renowned for its intuitive service and old-world elegance. Prior to this appointment, Bowling served as General Manager of Capella Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas, where he opened the property in 2009. As Managing Director of One&Only Palmilla, Bowling will report directly to George Markantonis, President and Managing Director of Kerzner International. With over 26-years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Bowling began his career in England at the acclaimed Lainston House and Eastwell Manor before holding a position at Chilston Park Country House. After relocating from England in 1986, Bowling went on to manage some of the Caribbean’s most celebrated resorts including The Royal Pavilion in Barbados and the Cotton House Hotel in Mustique. Bowling also developed Villa Nova, Barbados’ first boutique style hotel, and was Managing Director of the renowned Jumby Bay in Antigua, where he spearheaded an extensive renovation to the private 300-acre island, part of the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts group.

Guy Santoro has been appointed as Executive Chef at St. Regis Mexico

Santoro’s impressive international culinary background as a chef and owner of several renowned restaurants in Mexico City gives him the skills necessary to lead the distinguished culinary team at Diana restaurant. Santoro is the proprietor of three prominent restaurants in Mexico City: Piazza Navona, Meats Au Charcutier, and Rustic Bread Bakery. Previously, Santoro served as the executive chef at the Presidente Intercontinental Hotel in Mexico City. Santoro is also the recipient of several prestigious culinary awards, including Chef of the Year by Intercontinental Hotels of Americas and The Key of Progress Amait for Executive Restaurant Leader. Additionally, Santoro serves as the president of Vatel Club in Mexico and is a member of the Chaine des Rotisseurs.

Henry Walther has been appointed as General Manager at InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa

Walther served as Managing Director of the Fairmont Princess in Acapulco. With more than 25 years of hotel experience, Walther previously served as Managing Director of Posadas de Mexico where he was responsible for seven Fiesta Americana resorts throughout Mexico. Walther previously gained experience in Mexico as General Manager of Cancun’s first AAA Five-Diamond Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort while also overseeing the operations of the resort division with hotels located in Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Los Cabos and Cozumel. Raised and educated in Switzerland, Walther served on the committee charged with revising the AAA Five Diamond Rating Quality Guidelines, effecting the evaluation of more than 55,000 establishments in the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean.

Victoria Campos has been named Director of Sales at MAHEKAL BEACH RESORT

A veteran of the hospitality industry, Campos boasts an illustrious 25-year career working for well-known hotel companies such as Hilton Hotels and two luxury resorts; Four Season's Punta Mita and Mandarin Oriental Riviera Maya. Long known for repeat guests, Campos's primary responsibility is to ensure Mahekal is strongly positioned in key and emerging markets. In addition to leading the sales and reservations team, Campos is responsible for all advertising and public relations efforts continuing to bring positive awareness to the resort which recently underwent a name change and significant improvements.

Dorota Antoszkiewicz has been appointed as General Manager at Las Alamandas

Las Alamandas (www.alamandas.com) has named Dorota Antoszkiewicz the general manager of the luxury hideaway located on the Pacific Ocean on Mexico’s unspoiled Costalegre, announced founder and CEO Isabel Goldsmith-Patiño. Ms. Antoszkiewicz comes to Las Alamandas with broad experience in hospitality management. Most recently, she was general manager of Casa Aramara, a private corporate retreat located in Punta de Mita, Mexico. Mendez as director of meetings and incentives. With more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry, Mendez will focus on increasing group business through innovative strategies, initiatives and promotions. Mendez joins El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels and Azul Hotels with an impressive 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the corporate, leisure, and groups markets. Most recently, Mendez led the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau’s mainland sales efforts after holding the position of director of sales and marketing for the Intercontinental San Juan Resort & Casino. Mendez also has experience working for several top name hotel and resort companies, including Westin, Ritz-Carlton, and Renaissance. As a leading group and convention sales professional, Mendez serves on the board of directors for the Caribbean Center for Medical Education and is a former member of the Puerto Rico Hotel Association’s Marketing Committee. Mendez earned his degree from Sacred Heart University, with a B.A. in communications and a minor in marketing management.

Daniele Trombacco has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Eden Roc at Cap Cana

Trombacco brings luxury experience, deep familiarization with the hospitality industry and great enthusiasm to his new position. In his new post, Trombacco will oversee and implement all marketing and public relations initiatives as well as transient and group sales. Trombacco was most recently Director of Sales for the The Waldorf Astoria in Rome. Prior to that, Trombacco held various positions in the European hospitality industry including Account Director for The Rome Cavalieri and Cluster Conference & Events Manager for the Hilton Rome Airport. Trombacco began his career in the hospitality industry as the Front Desk Clerk for the Marghera Spa in Rome.

Marc Rodriguez has been named General Manager at Esperanza, An Auberge Resort

Auberge Resorts announced today that Marc Rodriguez has been named General Manager of Esperanza, An Auberge Resort. Rodriguez, a dual citizen of Mexico and Ireland with more than two decades of industry experience across the globe, will oversee all operations for the acclaimed Relais & Châteaux property dramatically set along the coast overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Prior to his time at Esperanza, Rodriguez most recently served as General Manager at Casa de Sierra Nevada and Maroma Resort & Spa, two Orient-Express Hotels in Mexico. Previous management positions include work at the Ritz Hotel Madrid (an Orient-Express Hotel) and at Four Seasons Hotels in Dublin, Mexico and London. Rodriguez is a graduate of the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology in Galway, Ireland where he earned his degree in Hotel and Catering Management.
