The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, takes over the management of the existing Hotel Rezydent in Sopot, Poland on 1st December 2010. The property featuring 64 rooms is under common ownership with the nearby Radisson Blu Hotel, Gdansk, and will keep its former name.

Modern meets medieval with the opening of Hilton Gdansk, a new hotel designed by renowned Polish architect Prof. Stefan Kurlylowicz. The hotel is a striking addition to Gdansk's old city area and is designed to complement the city's wealth of historic buildings with its timeless features and use of traditional materials. Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of two franchise agreements for Doubletree by Hilton in Warsaw and Lodz, Poland. The announcement marks a significant entry for the Doubletree by Hilton brand into the Polish market and the future arrival of the country’s largest conference hotel in the heart of the capital city. The two newly constructed hotels will provide business travellers with some of the most extensive hotel conference venues in Poland; with 1,000 square metres of dedicated meeting space at the Doubletree by Hilton, Lodz and more than 3,000 square metres of meeting space at the Doubletree by Hilton, Warsaw Conference Centre and Spa.

The andel’s design hotel celebrated its festive grand opening in Łódź last month. After decades of standing empty, the former factory, a weaving mill established in 1878 by textile magnate Izrael Poznanski directly next to the Old Town, has been transformed into a shining example of how historic industrial architecture can blend with modern design. The 4-star hotel was built by the real estate firm Warimpex, listed on both the Vienna and Warsaw Stock Exchanges, and is under management by Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG.
