Guillaume Gallas has taken the reins of the collective of creatives, disruptors, mavericks, and provocateurs who constitute the Mondrian Singapore Duxton family, with a mission to take the art-forward, community-focused lifestyle hotel to the next level. Since its launch over a year ago, Mondrian Singapore Duxton has shaken up the Lion City's perception of what a hotel should be, winning fans and breaking rules with a creative approach to hospitality, cuisine, design, nightlife, and art. All of which presents exciting building blocks for the new General Manager.

Prior to that, Cat's previous roles in Singapore saw her in positions at reputable hospitality names including St. Regis, W Singapore, and Resorts World Sentosa.

Tan Kim Seng has been appointed as General Manager at Aloft Singapore Novena

Aloft Singapore Novena, Singapore's first and the world's largest Aloft Hotels, announces the appointment of General Manager, Tan Kim Seng. Tan, whose experience spans over four decades in some of the most internationally-acclaimed properties in the industry, is expected to take over the helm from the current General Manager, Tony Cousens, with effect from 1 August 2024. Tony, a 30-year veteran hotelier, retires after deftly navigating the property's transition to Aloft Singapore Novena under the Marriott International group in September 2023.

Commencing its phased renovation in October 2023, the property is set to unveil its final transformation by September 2024. In collaboration with renowned hospitality design firm Studio HBA, a division of Hirsch Bedner Associates, Amara Singapore has been re-envisioned as the vibrant social epicentre of the neighbourhood, resonating with the city's dynamic energy. The extensive refurbishment introduces an all-new Lobby Bar, evolving with the day's rhythm, and a reimagined Cafe Oriental, blending biophilic design with a modern twist on traditional hawker stalls. All 389 rooms at Amara Singapore, as well as facilities such as event venues, will also undergo sophisticated enhancements, radiating a refined ambience inspired by the terracotta roofs of the surrounding preserved shophouses and the heritage rubber fig tree found at the nearby Duxton Plain Park.
