Raul hails from Valencia and is considered to be amongst the top 20 most influential chefs in Spain. He has recently returned from Doha, where he spent 18 months as Head Chef at El Faro restaurant, located in the Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel, The Pearl, Doha. Whilst there, Raul’s key objective was to bring authentic Spanish Cuisine and flavours to guests and clients, quickly setting El Faro ahead of the competition as the authentic-Spanish-cuisine restaurant. Now, as he returns to his homeland, Raul brings with him a wealth of experience and determination to create the most traditional paella and rice dishes on the Costa del Sol this summer.

EasyHotel reveals plans for 200-room property in Barcelona

easyHotel, the owner, developer, operator and franchisor of "super budget" branded hotels, announces that it has agreed the acquisition of land for a new build easyHotel in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, subject to planning permission. The project will be the Group's first owned hotel outside the UK and is in line with the Group's targeted European strategy. The planned 200-room easyHotel is expected to open in 2018. The site is located on Gran Via, the main avenue of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, with easy access to Barcelona City Centre and Barcelona Airport. The site has good transport links, with a train and Metro station adjacent to the proposed hotel, and is within walking distance of the Fira Barcelona Gran Via 240,000m2 convention centre, the Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat City of Justice and the Gran Via shopping centre, which includes 180 shops, 24 cafes/restaurants and a 15-screen cinema. Subject to planning permission, the total anticipated investment on completion will be approximately €15 million. The Barcelona region is an extremely attractive market for us, with Barcelona being the 12th most visited city in the world* . What Makes Spain's Hotel Recovery Remarkable | HotelManagement.net

The new Christie + Co report, "The Keys to the Spanish Hotel Market Recovery," indicates that Spain's "remarkable resurgence of hotel investment" will continue on through 2016, at least. Spain has seen record-breaking levels of inbound tourism in 2015 (so far), following four years of consistent growth. More than 38 million foreign tourists visited the country in the first seven months of the year, 4.7 percent more than during the same period in 2014.

Melia Hotels International, the leading hotel company in Spain, has announced the addition to its portfolio of a luxury resort in a prime location along the cliffs of Teno in the northwest of Tenerife.
