Laureate selling Glion and Les Roches hotelschools? | 24heures.ch

Swiss website 24heures.ch talks about an upcoming sale of Laureate's hotelschools in Switzerland. Besides the Glion Institute of Higher Education (two sites in Switzerland and one in Bubble London 2200 students), Laureate, world leader in high private schools (one million students on 80 campuses in 28 countries), owns the Hotel School Les Roches, Bluche (VS). A prize of € 200 million should be raised for the package (220 million), according Ecucation Investor. Credit Suisse would be in charge of the first round of offers which recently started.

Maud Dick has been appointed as Pre-Opening General Manager at Fraser Suites Geneva

Maud DICK ESSEC IMHI 2004 has been appointed as Pre-Opening General Manager - Fraser Suites Geneva. This new property is due to open in November 2015. Prior to that Maud was Manager for the the 23-room boutique design Hôtel Des Galeries 4* in Brussels (Belgium) and the charming Hotel St-Christophe 3* in La Baule (France). Maud has also managed Nevaï and Kings Park hotels in Verbier (Switzerland) for two years.

Dietmar Sawyere has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Chedi Andermatt

Sawyere has taken on the Executive Chef role at The Chedi Andermatt and will head all dining operations including the Gault Millau awarded eatery, The Restaurant and The Japanese Restaurant by Hide Yamamoto. The Restaurant offers East-West cuisine in an original Swiss setting, while guests experience the chefs’ work first hand by looking into the four theatre kitchens. The five-metre high glass cheese cellar is also a highlight. The Japanese Restaurant by Hide Yamamoto features an outstanding sushi and sashimi bar as well as a tempura counter, offering an authentic Japanese experience complete with the largest selection of sake in the Alps.
