Kempinski Hotels SA, the international luxury hotel group has today reached an amicable, out-of-court settlement with Reto Wittwer, to resolve their mutual litigation. Kempinski Hotels SA states that the unfortunate allegations made in its press statement on November 2, 2015 were unfortunate and should not have been published. Both parties agreed they would put an end to these unfortunate accusations allegations, and would refrain from any action against each other, once the facts became clear and understood.

Mr Violier, 44, ran the Restaurant de l'Hotel de Ville in Crissier, near the city of Lausanne. It earned three Michelin stars and came top in France's La Liste ranking of the world's 1,000 best eateries. Swiss police said Mr Violier, who was born in France, appeared to have shot himself. The Swiss news website 24 Heures said that Mr Violier had been due to attend the launch of the new Michelin guide in Paris on Monday.
Swiss website 24heures.ch talks about an upcoming sale of Laureate's hotelschools in Switzerland. Besides the Glion Institute of Higher Education (two sites in Switzerland and one in Bubble London 2200 students), Laureate, world leader in high private schools (one million students on 80 campuses in 28 countries), owns the Hotel School Les Roches, Bluche (VS). A prize of € 200 million should be raised for the package (220 million), according Ecucation Investor. Credit Suisse would be in charge of the first round of offers which recently started.
Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) has pioneered a first-of-its-kind full-time course in Hotel Asset Management (HAM) which prepares Bachelor students for the hotel industry. Following consultation with corporate executives, the course was conceived by EHL's senior academic faculty for final year bachelor students and launched last September.

Hilton Worldwide has reached an agreement to introduce its upscale Hilton Garden Inn brand to Spreitenbach, a growing commercial zone located within the greater Zurich area. The new build hotel is expected to welcome its first guests in 2016 and joins Hilton Zurich Airport, which has been trading for more than 40 years.Hilton Worldwide has signed a franchise agreement with HRMP AG, which will manage the hotel on behalf of real estate owners Immo Invest Partners AG, the company responsible for the Kreuzäcker Master Plan. The project was agreed on 29th May, at a singing event attended by HRMP AG, Hilton Worldwide, and ImmoInvest. Hilton Garden Inn Zurich Limmattal will include 120 guest rooms, underground parking, a round-the-clock fitness centre, restaurant and bar. Business guests can take advantage of flexible meetings and board room space.
