Now Open: Grand Hyatt Vail, Colorado

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the luxury Grand Hyatt Vail, marking the second Grand Hyatt hotel in Colorado and the first in a U.S. mountain resort destination. The 285-room ski-in/ski-out resort sits at the base of the iconic Vail Mountain on the banks of Gore Creek and offers guests their own ski lift, Chair 20, for access to world-class skiing and snowboarding.

Greg Durrer has been appointed as General Manager at W Aspen

Greg Durrer joined Marriott International in 1997, with the Residence Inn Brand in Portland, Oregon. Since that time, Greg has held numerous operational leadership positions at several Marriott Luxury, full-service, and select-service hotels: the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes, Orlando World Center Marriott, and Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay are a few of the highlights. When he has time for leisure, Greg loves to ski and snowboard, travel the world, explore and adventure in new destinations that are off the beaten path, and cook on his Traeger. With his long standing career in luxury and his love of exploration and adventure, the move to W Aspen was a perfectly orchestrated symbiotic next step in his decorated career. Greg and his wife, Julie, their three children, and Ollie (a 4 lb. Morkie and youngest member of the family) are ecstatic to be a new addition to the vibrant Aspen community and culture.

Distinguished chef and culinary leader Marco Fossati has been appointed Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail. Fossati has an impressive culinary career that began more than 30 years ago in his home country of Italy. After completing his culinary studies, he began working at various establishments including luxury hotels, Michelin starred restaurants, and private clubs. He is known for his outgoing, guest-centred personality, and no doubt he will be welcomed with open arms in the community throughout the Vail Valley. His career has taken him to amazing locations such as Tuscany, Milano, Sardinia, Paris, Hamburg and London.

Hyatt Announces Plans for Thompson Denver

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) has announced plans for Thompson Denver, the first Thompson Hotels property in the state of Colorado, expected to open in 2021. Currently under development, Thompson Denver recently broke ground at 1600 Market Street in LoDo, a bustling downtown neighborhood in the heart of the city that is steps from iconic Union Station.

Amy Healy has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) Denver Union Station

Healy joined the HGI team with more than 20 years of hospitality management experience. Previously, she was the opening general manager for Geronimo Parks, where she created and oversaw the opening project's budget, staff and implementation of the park's internal culture. Healy also led the Hotel Indigo Denver team as its opening general manager. She oversaw the opening of the 180-room hotel and full-service restaurant, created the hotel's opening budget, organized teams and drove the project forward to meet deadlines and milestones in its opening year.Prior to Hotel Indigo Denver, Healy was with Island Hospitality Management, and, previously, more than 13 years with Larkspur Hotels and Restaurants in several roles, from front desk manager to regional/area general manager.

Teresa McNamara-Worcester has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) Denver Union Station

McNamara-Worcester joined the HGI team with more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience. Previously, she was the task force director of sales for Renaissance San Diego (now Hotel Republic, an Autograph Collection Hotel), leading the sales team through the transition of the hotel to an independent minded brand. McNamara-Worce ster spent nearly eight years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, most recently as the associate director of sales for new builds and transitions. In this role, she supported the openings of all 10 Starwood lifestyle brands located in the U.S. and Canada. She provided strategic guidance for all hotel sales teams, targeting transient and group business to their specific markets. She also spent four years as the task force director and director of group sales for Davidson Hotel & Resorts, the operator of HGI Denver Union Station.

Justin Budyak has been appointed as Complex Director of Sales & Marketing at The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa

The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa, a legend among Downtown Denver hotels since 1892, proudly welcomes Justin Budyak as Complex Director of Sales & Marketing of the iconic landmark and the adjacent Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown, part of The Brown Palace hotel complex. In this role, Budyak will be responsible for generating maximum revenue through developing and executing marketing strategies that will drive sales for this multidimensional hotel.

Heather Steenge-Hart has been promoted to Area General Manager at St. Regis Aspen Resort

Heather Steenge-Hart has been promoted by Marriott International to Area General Manager, Luxury Mountain Resorts - Western region. Following significant success in her role as General Manager at The St. Regis Aspen Resort, Heather will now manage The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, The St. Regis Deer Valley, the soon-to-open W Aspen, in addition to her present hotel.
