Karen Hamilton has been named Director of Sales at Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville South Cool Springs

Most recently, Hamilton served as director of sales and marketing for the 296-suite Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Airport, while working for Aimbridge Hospitality. Her experience also includes serving as area director of sales for the 330-suite Hilton Nashville Downtown and for the 125-room Union Station Hotel, with a combined 26,000 square feet of meeting space, while employed by Turnberry Associates. Hamilton’s career also includes her roles as a sales manager for InnLink, LLC and as a director of sales for TravelCLICK, Inc. In addition, she was director of sales and marketing for the 482-room/suite Sheraton Nashville Downtown, while with Davidson Hotels & Resorts. Hamilton received a Bachelor of Arts in labor relations from Michigan State University.

Denise Coop Tinney has been appointed as Director of Sales at Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville SE – Murfreesboro

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) today announced that Denise Coop Tinney is the new director of sales at the company’s Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville SE – Murfreesboro in Tennessee. Tinney brings 19 years of hospitality experience to the 283-suite hotel, which features the largest convention space in Middle Tennessee outside of Davidson County. Springfield, Mo.-based JQH is a leading private, independent owner and manager of hotels in the United States, including operating more than 1 million square feet of superb meeting space.

Bill Duncan has been appointed as Global Head, Brand Management at All Suites Brands and Embassy Suites by Hilton

Bill Duncan will oversee the newly created All Suites division encompassing Embassy Suites by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton; Bill will also serve as brand manager for Embassy Suites. Duncan has more than 25 years of experience with Hilton, most recently serving as Global Head of Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton. In this role, Duncan established Homewood Suites as a leader in the upscale extended-stay segment by growing market share, expanding the brand's footprint to over 375 hotels and upholding the brand's award-winning customer satisfaction culture – including six consecutive "Top Extended Stay Hotel" honors from J.D. Power & Associates. He also led the launch of Home2 Suites, which has been one of the fastest growing brands in Hilton’s history. Prior to his tenure with Hilton’s extended stay brands, Duncan worked nearly a decade on the Embassy Suites brand team serving in various management, hotel performance support and sales roles.

Matthew Muserlian has been appointed as General Manager at SpringHill Suites Nashville Airport

Muserlian arrives in the Music City from Syracuse, NY, where he served as general manager of the Courtyard Syracuse Carrier Circle. Beginning his Marriott career in May 2004 after graduating from State University of New York at Delhi with a BBA degree in Hospitality Management, Muserlian served as front desk clerk at the Residence Inn Syracuse Carrier Circle. A year later, Muserlian accepted an assistant general manager position with a franchise company in Danbury, CN, and later in Parsippany, NJ. He was promoted to a bench manager in 2007. Through this position, Muserlian was awarded the opportunity to work at various brands and properties in numerous cities for a year. In 2008, Muserlian was promoted to general manager at a hotel in Lenexa, KS.

Dannette 'Danni' Williams has been appointed as General Manager at Courtyard Nashville Downtown

Dannette "Danni" Williams answered the calling and now returns to the Music City as the new leader of the downtown Nashville hotel. She previously served as the general manager of the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport. "The big story for me is that I started my Marriott career here at the Nashville Airport Marriott as an hourly associate," she said. Williams' leadership career blossomed in May 2001 when she was named general manager of the MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, TN. Under her tutelage, the team at the 195-room hotel achieved the highest guest satisfaction score for Marriott Hotels and Resorts and improved the house profit margin by 3.65 percentage points in two years. She was honored in 2002 as a GM Rookie of the Year for her efforts. Her career moved her Charleston, SC, where she took on the role of general manager for the Renaissance Charleston Hotel Historical District from May 2004 to January 2009. Her accomplishments included improving revenue by 27.3 percent and achieving a four-diamond status for the boutique hotel. Atlanta, GA, would then become her home, where she served as general manager for the Renaissance Atlanta Downtown and Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport. While working full time, Williams earned her bachelor of science in business management from Southern Wesleyan University in 2008. Along the way, Williams has amassed a number of accolades for her dedication and service to Marriott. She won the Renaissance Leadership Excellence and Renaissance Spirit to Serve Our Guests awards in 2007. She was also recognized with a Marriott Leadership award in 2010. Williams' spirit to serve Marriott transcends into her community affiliations that include being president of the Rotary Club Atlanta Airport and a board member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. She's also worked with the United Way, Children's Miracle Network, YMCA of Kingsport and multiple local tourism and hotel associations.

Heidi Scartozzi has been appointed as Director of Sales at Hilton Memphis

Hilton Memphis is proud to welcome Heidi Scartozzi as its new Director of Sales. Heidi, a 15-year hospitality veteran is a valued addition to Davidson Hotels & Resorts, who manages the hotel. The Spokane native most recently was regional director of sales for JQH Hotels and Resorts servicing 13 hotels on the west coast and has also worked in Charlotte and Albany. Chad Reyes has been appointed as Director Of Rooms at The Chattanoogan Hotel

For the past five years, Mr. Reyes was the front office manager at The Chattanoogan, overseeing 24 employees in the front office department and valet. In 2001, Mr. Reyes joined The Chattanoogan during preopening. He began his career at the hotel as a pastry cook and then began working as a front desk agent. Mr. Reyes was promoted to front desk supervisor after a few months, and then to evening manager. After working as the evening manager for one year, he was appointed to conference floor manager. Two years later, he was promoted to director of security and served in that role for two years.

Lori Huffstutler has been appointed as Director of Sales, Catering and Marketing at The DoubleTree by Hilton Memphis

Ms. Huffstutler brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industries. She most recently served as senior catering manager at the Westin Memphis Beale Street. Prior to that, Ms. Huffstutler held regional management positions in catering and tour and travel sales at Caesar's Entertainment. Her career also includes management positions in sales, catering, public relations and marketing with multiple major hotels in Memphis.Ms. Huffstutler is a Certified Professional in Catering and Events and a member of the National Association of Catering & Events, where she has served on its board of directors since 2003. She is also an active member of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.

Heidi Wilcox has been named First Female Owners Advisory Council (OAC) Chair at Hilton Garden Inn Brand

Hilton Garden Inn has named Heidi Wilcox as the brand’s first female Owners Advisory Council (OAC) Chair. Wilcox is currently the chief operating officer (COO) of hotel and resort hospitality management company First Call Hospitality, which manages three Hilton Garden Inn franchises; Overland Park, Kansas; Eden Prairie, Wisconsin and Fort Worth, Texas. As the OAC Chair, Heidi will oversee quarterly meetings and provide essential feedback to the brand management team to guide the upscale hotel brand’s future direction. The council meets on everything concerning the Hilton Garden Inn brand and business, from new products and standards to beta testing future innovations and training programs. The OAC is comprised of eight owners and management company representatives of all of Hilton Garden Inn’s property types, including urban, suburban, airport hotels, large and small properties.

Don Willingham has been appointed as VP brand performance support and sales, for the Hilton Garden Inn brand at Hilton Worldwide

Willingham joins the Hilton Garden Inn team most recently as senior director, brand sales, Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites by Hilton. He has more than twenty years of hospitality experience, ranging from brand sales support, training and operations. Willingham graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a bachelor of science in Business Administration and a major in marketing. After graduating college, he worked for several hotels in the Atlanta area and went on to become the general manager at two Atlanta Hampton Inn hotels. He joined Promus Hotels in 1994 as a training manager, where he was responsible for sales, pre-opening, and leadership development training. He later moved on to regional operations and development training for the Hampton, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites and Doubletree brands.

Samantha Barnett has been appointed as Director of Hotel Sales at Memphis Marriott Downtown

Born and raised in Surrey, England, Barnett began working in the hospitality sector as a college student in Cheltenham, England. Her first job was as a receptionist at Hatherly Manor Hotel where she was quickly promoted to front of house manager. She then became sales coordinator and food and beverage manager at Branksome & Horsley Conference Centre in Surrey. Prior to joining the Marriott family, she was director of sales at Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Bahrain.
